Long stick squeegees and that was helpful for removing the bugs and grime from the windshield after a lot of driving. I went inside and prepared my coffee. Good choices, a half dozen or so creamer flavors and several different types of sweeteners. At the hot dog roller, the buns area was well stocked and there was a combination of "ready" and "still heating" hot dogs available in multiple flavors. It was the basic beef dog today and points off because the cheese dispenser was out and the chili was almost out. The other toppings options were needing restocking. This needs some work. With no emergency shutoff in sight, I had to swing the hose baseball bat style into the concrete pole to make it stop pumping. Gas was all over the place. Called the sheriff about the spill and left after they arrived. This place is not like any other Flying J I have seen and I'll find a different fuel station on the next trip through Hardin.

The Bed Bug Inn Beware Room #113!…read moreSince I travel extensively, I check all rooms I stay in very carefully. I was quick to find bedbugs at Room #113 bed's headboard. The bedbugs I saw all seemed to be dead, but they were interspersed between the mattress, box spring, sheets and across the headboard-side floor. As if custodial staff not cleaning up the dead bedbugs was bad enough, bedbug powder - a powerful insecticide - was all over the place, maybe 16 - 20 inches from where we place our heads during sleep. We immediately requested another room (nearby inns and motels were full) from the lady at the front desk. Additionally, she took images with her cell phone of the bedbugs and powder I found. The inn upgraded us to a room with a bed of a different design, sort of a cradled frame. We saw no bugs. Later the next day, we saw indications that the staff must have merely moved the bed in #113 back into position, and rented the room out to another, unsuspecting guest. We will never stay here again.

The room itself has signs of age, but wasn't too bad. Our room had a small TV mounted on the wall. The bathroom too was showing it's age. The bed was good and the room was clean. Nice desk staff. There's not much around the location...I think there was a convenient store next door. Although parking wasn't an issue, it could use a better layout...it was a little tight No serious objections to staying here again as long as the price is reasonable (less than $60 ngt).
