We always heard about the big horn sheep feeding station, but we never been able to find it until this past weekend. A nice gentleman directed us to it and the rest is history! This feeding area is located about a mile off of Highway 12, the opposite direction on 410 from the elk feeding station. At the intersection of Highway 12 and Highway 410 where you normally turn left, you turn right and head up old Naches highway. About a mile up on the left-hand side is a parking lot where the bighorn sheep feeding can be observed from. The place is much smaller than the elk feeding ranch, and at least based on our experience, the animals tend to be a lot further away. I suspect that at feeding time they are much closer, But while we were there most of them were a long ways up on the hill. To get a better view, it definitely pays to bring a couple pairs of binoculars. We are excited to go back at a time when the sheep are a little bit closer, and until then we'll continue to enjoy the elk range! read more
