Quebec opened its doors to the first Costco Business centre in September 2020…read more This store replaces the regular Costco in St Hubert, and has undergone certain modifications to accomodate a larger walk-in fridge and repositioning of aisles. If you are familiar with Costco then you already know they sell all kinds of things in bulk, but this Business centre really focuses on goods for the restaurant industry, hotels or offices. You will find lots of fancy industrial kitchen equipement, a whole range of supplies for cooking, baking, packaging, you name it. If you've ever wanted an industrial mixer, pizza oven, or triple door fridges and freezers, you'll find it here. There is a wider selection of products when it comes to food, more brands are stocked and larger sizes. A regular Costco may only carry a dozen or less varieties of soda and juice for example, but this place will offer easily 50 types of beverages. The most impressive feature is the giant walk in fridge, it is significantly bigger than the usual walk-ins and stocks every type of meat, veggie and dairy product. Make sure you bring a sweater year round to enter this area as it can take a while to go through all the options and you will freeze! Not everything is a great deal, always look at the price of items per weight. If you shop at regular grocery stores, there are often better bargains but I guess if you have a restaurant, it's easier to buy everything in bulk in one place. We love to BBQ and found the price of pork shoulder, ribs, brisket and other large cuts of meat to be a steal. But certain things like eggs, cheese and butter were the same, or more expensive as other places and there is no point in buying a 5kilo brick if you can't finish it. If you like spices, they regularly go on sale, you'll have to buy a very large cannister, but we compared the prices to everywhere else and basics like pepper, garlic, powder, paprika, thyme, etc were very cheap. Note that this Costco is open to every Costco member, you do not need a business membership. This Costco does NOT have an optical center nor pharmacy, no food court, no bakery and no butcher on site. They also do not sell any clothes, toys or electronics. They open very early (7am) and tend to close earlier too (7pm) so be sure to check before going.

Costco... For business!!!…read more Wow. The sizes are huge even by Costco's standards! Get your soft drinks and snacks there at a fraction of the price! The fruits and vegetables section is crazy. I got a box of red bell peppers which after calculating was 15cents a pepper. They open extra early. But watch out, they have different specials than regular Costco.

It was subsequently installed by one of their technicians. The first issue we encountered was their double charging my VISA account for the purchase, the charges being made several months apart! They did not make it easy to have the double charge reversed although I gave them all the details they needed to affect the reversal. It took them much too long, putting unnecessary stress on me. As a senior couple, we were having difficulty hearing the voice clearly when watching regular TV programming. This model has a feature called "clear voice" as well as a feature called "surround sound". After months of use, we found that the "surround sound" feature overpowered the "clear voice" feature rendering it totally ineffective. However, we do not know if the "surround sound" feature can be disabled. We are now at the second issue. I thought it normal and practical to call the vendor, Environment, and seek help. So, this week I called on Wednesday, spoke to an employee, explained the problem, and was asked to leave a message and a service person would call me the next day. I repeated the process, with the same no results on the second day and then called again on the third day. Each day, a different employee at Environment answered my call. By the third call I was frustrated and agitated so, when the employee gave me the same "story" I was not as calm as on the previous days and left the same message. Not fifteen minutes later, I received a call back from a rude, irritated person who identified himself as Dave Smith who I knew to be the owner of Environment based on the fact that we had been cordial neighbours on the same street for over 30 years. I was shocked and appalled to be spoken to like that, chewed out and then to be told "and don't ever call back" and hanging up. Very mature and business like. Would you deal with such a store when there are so many others available in Montreal?
