We love going ice skating here every year- it's become a Thanksgiving trip tradition. Our family really enjoys the outdoor rink. The prices are reasonable and staff are friendly. They are always helpful with any questions and swapping out skates. Open skate is only offered at certain times of day so make sure to check the schedule. We like to go in the afternoon when it is typically not as cold. We have found that more teenagers go to the night open skate. Parking is easy and they also have a lot of snack options for purchase including hot chocolate. Would recommend ice skating at Bill Collier Community Ice Arena, overall rating 4.25. Jayden the angry teenager @ the front desk was like the worst. She was so rude and rolled her eyes at me and my son when we asked her about rental skates. Like why do you work here if you like hate people, save that mess for your next mc job. Her boss needs to super check her attitude. read more

My kids got to play here for a tournament. What an outstanding little "outdoor" rink. They have this awesome gas-burning fireplace at the entrance you can stand around, a staffed snack bar, heated stands to watch the kids from and also heated locker rooms. read more

Amazing staff!!!!! My daughter loved the outdoor ice. It was busy but my daughter was able to work on some moves in the middle of the ice.

Ice skating: 5 stars. Roller skating (summer) for the general public: 4 stars. But for ROLLER skaters who know the brands Riedell, Harlick, Labeda, Snyder, etc, either stay far away or bring a set of wheels and bearings to change to so you won't ruin your good skates. I love that KF has a roller skating option now for our community, even if it's only seasonal. I'd love to see it succeed, and to see them grow. However, the floor is disgusting. It's only a small step up from skating on asphalt. Dirt clods and smears, muddy shoe prints, plant debris, dust, bug carcasses, and actual deep holes in the concrete. I asked today about a floor cleaning schedule; maybe I could time my visits better. I was met with a questioning look, "a schedule?!" Lol. Then another girl walked up and said they might clean it next week. Never have I skated at a rink like this. No rules. I've seen toddlers run barefoot amongst the skaters (so dangerous), parents carrying their kids (so dangerous!), people wearing their street shoes onto the floor, etc. It makes me sad. I'd heard they were saving up for a floating floor last year, and that would be amazing! But after seeing the condition of the current surface today, I don't have confidence in any sort of maintenance, if that actually does ever happen. If you have good quality skates and wear them here you will NOT be able to skate at any indoor roller rink, like Oaks Park. Your skates will be trashed. Changing out your wheels and bearings is a must. I hope I can update this with a better review in the future. I truly do wish them the best, but there needs to be some changes. read more

Outdoor ice skating was so much fun!!! They limit the amount of people they sell tickets too so that social distancing is enforced. The price for rental of skates was also so reasonable!! The best thing.... you can rent a seal which is perfect for my 5 year old. She had a blast!!!! read more

Drove 7 hours to stay 3 nights at running Y ranch for Thanksgiving vacation. We paid for ice skating for the hours posted online to 11pm. We arrived at 8:20pm took 10 minutes plus to get skates along with a poor attitude from young lady working register and another 10 at least to put skates on my kids my wife and I. They shut rink down at 9pm. With no warning that rink would shut down shortly. Once closed at 9pm we were told that they never stay open past 9pm. Extremely poor customer service and false advertising hours of use. Its 2022 online hours are accurately posted on even the smallest of businesses. Im not as much upset about the loss of $50 for about two laps around the rink but with high hopes my 9 and 11 year old sons left extremely disappointed. read more

I thought it would be an easy process for a refund. I have made multiple attempts through emails and a few phone calls, Bill advised in one email that he doesn't handle it and would forward to the appropriate person. That was in June. I called and find out he is the manager and asked for a call back. I couldn't attended my skating session due to sudden onset of seizures. I explained this in my email to him. Now, I'm being ignored, poor customer service, poor management, poor business. Would not recommend wasting the time or energy to deal with this place. As of 8/31/21 I now have a refund from the ice rink. Still no contact from management either through email or a phone call. Not impressed at all. read more

Great community ice skating rink with a range of uses such as family skating, hockey, curling and lessons. The website is a little rough, but if you are patient you can find schedule. The big improvement that I recommend to the rink organizers is to install lockers. Our son's shoes were stolen last year so consider bringing old shoes. read more
