As a result, a client can't truly compare their experience with a given law firm to the experience they would have had with another firm. On top of that, the law is confusing and often unfair. This makes it difficult to tell if a less than desirable outcome is the result of the lawyer doing a bad job, or simply a result of the law not being favorable in a given case.
