Super cute place ...their approach is .. massage without taking ur clothes off .. for people on the go.. it was amazing.. seriously my neck and shoulders feel so amazing! Jose did a fabulous job - I chose the chair massage. This establishment is more known for their meditation studio, which I can't wait to try out next!

They said they comped everyone an extra class to try a class in the normal space - The instructor checked me in and said the other staff would give me a tour after she finished with the other clients but she never did. I pretty much roamed around to figure the space out before the instructor noticed and told me class was starting

A life-changing experience! Chris Cinnamon is a phenomenal instructor!…read more If you are curious about Tai Chi or looking for an incredible new class, you must check out Chicago Tai Chi and instructor Chris Cinnamon! I started his classes recently and the experience has been absolutely fantastic. Chris embodies everything you could want in a teacher: he is incredibly thorough, breaking down movements so they are easy to understand for all levels. He has a truly great energy that makes every session both relaxing and invigorating. Beyond his knowledge, Chris is remarkably gentle and kind. He creates a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable learning at their own pace. His deep expertise shines through, making even complex concepts approachable. These classes have been a highlight of my week. I highly recommend Chris Cinnamon and Chicago Tai Chi to anyone in the Chicago area!

I was immediately impressed by the knowledge, experience, and talent of the instructors. More so, I appreciated their respectful treatment of students. The subjects they teach are interesting and helpful both mentally and physically. The teaching is clear and concise with ample time for questions. I can't imagine a better way to learn. I have experienced positive results in terms of my initial health issues and am back at some of the sports I had given up. I highly recommend Chicago Tai Chi!

I don't come for a lot of chit chat or want a lot of handholding, and I have always found the staff really perceptive and accommodating. For newbies, they do a very good job of getting you oriented without an overwhelming list of remember-such-and-so's. The accoutrements of float tanks are neatly arrayed and intuitive, e.g., ear plugs, petroleum jelly to cover an scratches or spots that would be irritated by the salinity of the water, towel, washcloth for pre- and post-float shower. The space itself is thoughtfully designed, soothing, and exceptionally clean. I have not tried the full rang of their float rooms/tanks but I'll vouch for the Samadhi tank (#OldSchool).

Unfortunately, our experience was completely soured due to repeated negative encounters with one employee--Rochelle. Despite the calming and restorative nature of the space, Rochelle's attitude and unprofessional behavior made visits increasingly uncomfortable. She was consistently dismissive, unaccommodating, and at times outright rude. After giving it the benefit of the doubt multiple times, we finally decided to bring our concerns to the attention of the owner, Gloria. To our disappointment, Gloria did nothing to address the situation. We had hoped for some form of accountability or at least an open, honest conversation, but instead, it felt like our concerns were brushed off entirely. We didn't want to cancel our membership--we genuinely loved the service and the concept--but we're not willing to support a business that allows one toxic employee to undermine the entire experience, especially when leadership refuses to take responsibility. Sadly, we've since canceled our membership and won't be returning. I hope Float Sixty takes customer feedback more seriously in the future--for the sake of others who still value what it could be.

I'm a firm believer in things playing out how they are meant to, and was blown away by my experience here. I took advantage of the free 10 minute session, and it was way more than I bargained for. I immediately signed up for a 6 month package with absolutely zero hesitation. When I tell you I was stressed and wired coming in, I'm being generous. I was probably an A hole for the last week maybe week and a half unintentionally. Since my session I would have to willingly put effort into being angry or upset. It's very effective. I will warn you though- drink LOTS of water before and after just like you would a deep tissue massage, or salt float. You will be releasing a lot of stored waste that has been locked away in your system. I didn't follow this advice and had to add some additional steps to flush my system because I'm an adult that still doesn't know how to properly hydrate. Don't be like me, hydrate and have a great experience. I'm rooting for you.

The entire process from start to finish was great. The facility is clean and the session was easy to follow. The chairs recline while you listen to the audio guidance and the chair vibrates. It's a strange sensation but once you wrap up, you feel so much different than when you first came in. Looking forward to booking different kinds of visits in the future!

Gotta be honest, I spent years and years living in Chicago running by this place imagining it as…read moresome epic amenity-packed gym for the wealthy. I left Chicago last year, joined Equinox in New York, and triumphantly returned to Chicago for a work trip, picking a hotel as close to this gym as possible. My take is that this location is a loss-leader used to placate business travelers who have multi-club access. It's a mediocre gym with a nice locker room. Great for blowing off steam after work in a largely uncrowded gym if your employer is subsidizing your wildly expensive gym fees. Mine is. Compared to East Bank Club, which costs $235 per month, the Loop Equinox is laughable, and I question whether the three Chicago Equinox locations combined actually stack up to EBC on any measure except sheer convenience or imagined exclusivity. I think what a lot of people miss, and certainly what I missed as I formed my first impressions of Equinox, is that the machines and basically everything else, except the quality of the locker room, is the exact same as any competent gym in a big city. In fact, you could make a compelling case that the overall variety is worse here compared to the downtown FFC locations. I found that the blueprint for the location I frequent in NYC was nearly identical to this location's--it's an ordinary equipment layout that can make it so that one other person wanting to rotate through the machines can impede your workout. If you are living in Chicago reading Yelp reviews as you assess Equinox ($???) vs EBC ($235) vs FFC ($160 all-access), I would put this gym toward the bottom of the list. It's just crazy how normal it is in reality compared to how people (including me) perceive the branding.
