Unfortunately, our experience was completely soured due to repeated negative encounters with one employee--Rochelle. Despite the calming and restorative nature of the space, Rochelle's attitude and unprofessional behavior made visits increasingly uncomfortable. She was consistently dismissive, unaccommodating, and at times outright rude. After giving it the benefit of the doubt multiple times, we finally decided to bring our concerns to the attention of the owner, Gloria. To our disappointment, Gloria did nothing to address the situation. We had hoped for some form of accountability or at least an open, honest conversation, but instead, it felt like our concerns were brushed off entirely. We didn't want to cancel our membership--we genuinely loved the service and the concept--but we're not willing to support a business that allows one toxic employee to undermine the entire experience, especially when leadership refuses to take responsibility. Sadly, we've since canceled our membership and won't be returning. I hope Float Sixty takes customer feedback more seriously in the future--for the sake of others who still value what it could be.

After learning more about the parasympathetic nervous system, I came across sensory deprivation floating as something to try - enter Float Sixty. Honestly, I was skeptical at first - would I be paying a lot of money to float in a big tub with the lights off and earplugs in? Would I even be able to relax, and for a whole hour? Well, I'm here on Yelp to tell you it was a wonderful and soothing experience. From the minute I walked in, I was welcomed and (since it was my first time floating) everything was explained thoroughly. I had float suite 2, which has its own shower and comes equipped with essentials like ear plugs. I ended up wearing a bathing suit and didn't feel it impeded my experience - it actually helped me feel more comfortable. Part of the time I was able to relax and float in silence, and the rest of the time I played relaxing tones/music from my phone which I really enjoyed but do not recommend bringing the phone into the chamber since it will accumulate salt. I wish there was an ambient light option and speaker option in the chamber to customize the experience but I understand that defeats the sensory deprivation idea. After the session, there are other rooms to relax in, and a vanity table with toiletries and a hair dryer. Unfortunately almost all of the hair products were empty so that was a bummer. There's also water and tea available after your session, and the tea was actually quite delicious. I would definitely recommend Float Sixty and will definitely be back for another session.

I was immediately impressed by the knowledge, experience, and talent of the instructors. More so, I appreciated their respectful treatment of students. The subjects they teach are interesting and helpful both mentally and physically. The teaching is clear and concise with ample time for questions. I can't imagine a better way to learn. I have experienced positive results in terms of my initial health issues and am back at some of the sports I had given up. I highly recommend Chicago Tai Chi!

Without exaggeration, I can say that your caring instructors/practitioners, beautiful studio and the inclusive and diverse community that you've attracted have been a life-altering experience. Sending loads of gratitude to: Shauni for your care and attention to each of your student's individual needs in every class. Thank you for making pilates a possibility for me. Shay for all things yoga, mindfulness and relaxation. It's a good day when I get to bring it to a close under your unique and expert yogi guidance. Claudia for being a ray of sunshine in my wellness journey. Your yoga is truly restorative and takes me to a place of calm and peace. Katie for showing me that I can actually participate in (slow) flow yoga classes and feel great afterwards. Your calm and gentle manner have given me the confidence to do something that used to leave me drained and often in pain. Ryan for brightening my day whenever I see you - whether or not I'm in your class that day. Your Release & Restore class is truly a journey to deep renewal. James for making meditation possible even for those of us who have long-thought that it's not ever going to happen easily. You have a gift! Adrian for taking me a deeply relaxing hypnotic journey with each sound healing session I join. And, of course, Lisa for your beautiful wellness vision and the care that you take in each step you take to make it a reality. I can't wait to see where you take us over the years. Note: There are other talented instructors at Namastate of Mind who aren't mentioned here. I'm starting slowly and gently as rebuild my fitness after treating years of chronic pain. I can't wait to take their classes when I reach their level of strength/intensity. All that to say that there's truly something for everyone at Namastate of Mind from relaxation to power workouts!
