Brought my truck to a different service tech for a fix on a warranty and they didn't want to approve it. Brought it back to bill hood March 1 for moonroof knock in engine and tailgate Mr.Hart was rude and difficult something so sample as communication which he couldn't I'm just now picking my truck up cus they said the part was on back order. This a week after I brought them my truck we at the end of March and they have yet to call me and let me know if my part came in. The people are rude and they don't get things done in a good time. So they don't care as long as everyone gets a check there good this a sad company and I would take my car somewhere else. April 18,2022 12:03p.m I'm here dropping my truck off Customer Service is not up to par Jim Hart didn't or just wouldn't explain what was going on with the parts "that they were on back order" which is understandable no problem I am now waiting for them to find a ticket to get a renter car which should be in the system why do one person has access to be able to do the paper work as if the world stop. There was a code one called and there we go everything is in position for the customer hummmm. I went from 1star too 2 because Jim came in a save the day this review was to let ppl know how BillHood Ford took care of me and my needs another will come when the truck is repair at no cost and picked up.

DO NOT go to the select preowned dealership on west pine. HORRIBLE, unfriendly service from Blake. Treated us like we were bothering him. We asked for a test drive, and they let us take the vehicle with no gas. The gas light came on while we were driving it and we thought we were going to run out of gas on the road. Not only that, the check engine light came on in the vehicle the minute we pulled out of the dealership. Then we were told by Blake the price was as is and they would not be fixing anything on the car if we wanted to purchase it. Seriously?!?

No real issue with her. Everything else? A masterclass in dealership BS. The car I was looking at was listed on Hyundai's website at $32,652 -- already factoring in a $500 rebate and a $1,739 dealer discount. When I contacted them for a proposal, they matched that number, then quietly added $1,995 for an "Import Corner Pro Pack" and $795 in "admin fees" -- nearly double the ~$475 doc fee you'd see at most dealerships. Out-the-door total: $40,213. When I said I didn't want the add-on garbage and wanted to finance through HMF at the advertised rate (excellent credit, no issues), they told me I couldn't have the full advertised discount. Classic. I came back with a competitor's proposal -- all fees included -- at $37,514.73. Their counter? $38,799.75. They presented this with a straight face as the better deal. The finance manager said he needed to "make some money on the car," which translates plainly to: he wanted to pocket as much of Hyundai's customer incentive as he could get away with. Then the finance guy -- with genuine confidence -- assured me that when I got to the other dealer, they'd tack on the same fees, and boldly claimed theirs were the cheapest in the state. They were not. I bought the car from the other dealership for exactly what they quoted. $1,284.02 less. No surprises, no games. The other dealership said I couldn't get the full incentive either but still took some extra off the car. Probably not the best I could have done but the wife was getting impatient and it was close enough to what I wanted and I didn't feel quite as bent over like I would have at Bill Hood.

Bought a 2019 Ford Ranger. It looked good and drove nicely. Roy said it belonged to a friend of…read morehis. He said his friend actually traded it in and than came back and bought it. Than later on came back and traded it in again This can't be true. Let me explain I let them do the financing thru a credit union. Six months later I decided refinance it to get a much lower interest rate. That's when I found out the truck was not driven for 3 years. The new finance company showerd me the records on a milage report. That also explains why rats had ate up all the wires and plastic under the dash. So how did his friend trade in truck come back and buy it again then trade it back to him. This cost was $8000 to get fix. Warranty did not cover this I had to go thur my auto insurance. Roy said why didn't i tell him so he could have help you with this with the warranty. But warranty strictly covers mechanical break down things like that. So he could not do a thing. First issue with Roy is told him a number of times I didn't want Gap insurance. He gave me four options and what the payments would be. 1. Just the purchase of vechicle 2. Vehicle with gap. 3. Vehicle with a warranty. 4. Vechile with gap and warranty. I picked vechiel with warranty. I wrote down what my payment would be. When signing the contract the payments were the same as he quoted. When it came to the Gap part he said this is where you sign saying you do not want Gap. So my husband and I did not look at it good, just went on what it said. Look at paper work it is misleading. There is a box you check both things are on the same line. YOU WANT IT OR YOU DON'T. We continued to sign as directed. It's a lot to read and they know that. We had to sign for the warranty also. That is where they explained how the warranty worked so there was a lot to look over. That part was ok. Then he came back with the Gap packet that is stapled all together separately. Not realizing it was about GAP. WE had to entitle a lot of places there. But since we had been talking about warranty not thinking or reading it was about Gap. Note I told him so many times I don't want Gap. This was only $995 but I think he wanted to sell that Gap because I got him to come down on the price of the truck $1000. So he figured a way to get the money he wanted. When I went up there to cancel everything I talked to him about the Gap issue. He came out with a piece of paper I had never seen before. There were our initials. My husband initials were like this T.A.B. Dots end between, he has never did that before on any paper work before and not on this contract either. Plus all of the cost are outlined in the loan papers are itemized it doesn't state Gap. It states Preferred Administrators. What would you think that is? Of course I would not get full amount because six months has went by and we used the warranty one time to replace a part that was bad. The warranty was $3499 we got a check for $2277. This was for six months of having them when it covered four years. I called the warranty people National Auto Care to see how much they wrote out check for. They told me they do not write out a check or have nothing to do with the amount the dealer which in this case is Berryland motors takes care of that. I called Roy he said right the opposite. National Auto writes him a check then they write one out to me. I called the warranty people back tolk to someone else they told me the same thing they don't right a check to the dealer. Who is lying. So we have a lot of deception and alot of not telling the truth. This might be part of the game to Roy and seems normal but it is underhanded and bad business. What really bothers me is they have a CROSS on the corner of the business. I'm so glad I decided to refinance the loan I would have never know these things about this business. I suggest get you own financing and read all paper work and get help understanding it. No matter how long it takes. There is much more in the contract paper work I have learned since i read it well. I have not got back money for gap yet he conveniently forgot this. I made another mistake I had to sign a paper to cancel GAP the paper work was blank he just said sign this in a hurry. No telling how he filled it in. He did the same on the Warranty paper work also. I was hesitant to sign but I was pressured and really fed up with this man he prays on good people who just want a nice ride and wants to believe people are honest. This man is not. I probably won't get much back for Gap they prorate it and the dates he will fill in on that paper I signed. It is totally my fault for being stupid or if there is some kind of law would someone let me know. It is so true about this place when they say car sales men coning deceptive and I don't know any nice terms for them.

Buyer beware! This business engages in unethical and deceptive behavior. I bought a 2007 Chevrolet…read moreAvalanche from them in February 2023. When I bought the vehicle both the dealership and I believed the power steering motor was near needing replacement. They dropped a couple hundred dollars off the price of the vehicle to cover that repair. This shows that they understand the right thing to do is to make sure they are selling vehicles that can actually be used. Within a week of buying the truck, it became clear that the problem was the transmission, not the power steering motor. This makes the vehicle undrivable. This is also an issue that is not reasonably apparent when the vehicle is inspected at the dealership by an average person considering a purchase. I spoke with the salesman who told me that they never would have sold us the vehicle if they'd known the transmission was bad. This again demonstrates that they understand they need to sell working cars and trucks. The salesman said he would talk to his manager to see what he could do. My request was to split the repair bill; I didn't demand they cover it all or try to return it. That request is more than fair. After not hearing back, I contacted the salesman who told me the truck was sold "as-is". I expressed my dissatisfaction with that response and he said he would ask the manager to contact me. The business has yet to reach out again. I pulled the paperwork for the sale. There is a warranty sheet with a large box checked next to "Implied Warranty Only". Louisiana law says that sellers have an obligation to provide vehicles in good working order and the implied warranty covers those things that couldn't reasonably have been known at the time of purchase, like an imminent transmission failure. The deceptive and unethical practice concerning this form is that when you sign it, they don't explain that the smaller text at the bottom of the page waives this implied warranty. It is a misleading document that supports a bait-and-switch, and they do this intentionally. They show a huge box checked next to an implied warranty and then quietly trick you into giving it up. They know what they are doing is wrong because they won't return calls and they admitted that they wouldn't have sold me the vehicle if all the facts were known. I certainly wouldn't have bought the vehicle had I known the transmission was bad. This business has turned out to be the stereotypical shady used car lot, and I strongly recommend anyone avoid it.

Oil change was so quick, and they said : oh its great, no recall. BS not even 72 ish hours later I get these flashing codes in dashboard. About being so many miles until my truck went into limp mode. This dealership was the closest to our BnB (new to area) and took it in. The lady at desk was the new service director (Taylor) and I explained the previous place and my utter disgust with them. Not only did this service center take it seriously, she was honest and said they would need 24 hours to inspect it. 24 hours later, they text me with news it was the recall. It took one week for them to get part, get it installed AND Rebecca went to bat for me and made sure RAM covered an additional faulty part, that had failed due to the recall part. I was ready to give up hope on dealerships here, and this place shocked me. I will gladly drive here to see both the awesome women who keep it real and honest. Even if I buy a home in another parish. Aggravating when service departments try and scam you. Rainbow actually sent me what looked like a bill for 240$ + last week...in the Itty bitty tiniest print at bottom it explained it was an offer for their extended maintenance package. Jack-holes!!! My mum or any other older person I know would have genuinely thought it was a bill and paid I am genuinely considering filing a complaint with BBB or whatever Louisiana allows for that shady/deceptive letter. Hands down I will recommend BOTH these women to anyone looking for service!!

I would not recommend Ross Downing Chevrolet Jeep Dodge to anyone…read more I brought my Jeep Renegade to them on a Monday after breaking down on Sunday. Initially, I thought it was a transmission issue, but after further inspection, I realized it was the brake caliper--a repair covered by my warranty. I had my car towed to Ross Downing, and that turned out to be a huge mistake. When I dropped off the car, I specifically told them the issue was with the brake caliper. Despite this, it took them over 24 hours to diagnose the problem. During this time, they claimed my car had electrical issues and multiple other problems that were completely unfounded. I reviewed the dash cam footage from my car and saw their technicians forcing it to drive forward, causing the caliper to grind and damage my rims. I also watched as four technicians struggled to figure out the problem, with one even stating, "I don't think it's the brakes." Their lack of basic mechanical knowledge was alarming. Eventually, they told me the caliper wasn't covered under warranty because the issue was due to a missing caliper bolt. This seemed deliberately written in a way that would avoid warranty coverage, despite other options they could have pursued. To make matters worse, almost all the additional issues they claimed existed were fabricated. My car has never had electrical problems, and I have records showing that my brakes were serviced in August by the dealership that sold me the car (Benoit Nissan in DeRidder). Ross Downing seemed more interested in trying to make money off unnecessary repairs than solving the actual problem. When I told them I only wanted the caliper repaired, they quoted me $153 for the work. Thankfully, Benoit Motors stepped up and paid for the repair because they are an honest and trustworthy dealership. If Ross Downing cared about doing quality work and treating customers fairly, they might get more business. Instead, my experience suggests they are incompetent and untrustworthy. I would advise anyone to take their car elsewhere.
