The gentleman Greg Tavitian took my information and told me what the cost was going to be up front. He was on another job but since that one was not an emergency he left it and was at my house in 30 minutes like he said. Opened my door and even fixed my lock that I could not turn due to carosion. Very disappointing experience. I broke a key in a padlock. The employees said they could not help. I asked if they could sell me a key extraction tool - they don't sell them but, they showed me one. I guess they don't actually use them. When I asked what to do, they suggested I get a saw, extension cords and gloves - so I don't cut my fingers off. That was kind of funny in a condescending way. They did offer to refer me to another locksmith but, I declined their kind offer. read more

I had a lock replaced on my condo by AHC.Months later I was locked out and had to call AHCto fix the lock and let me in my condo.The ahc repairmen came and seemed put out since it was a friday at about 530pm.He asked me who has put the lock in (the name of the ahc employee) and I told him i didnt know.he then said oh it was probably Chris because this wasnt installed correctly.A park of the lock was INSIDE the door through no fault of mine (as he also stated).He then charged me, get this, $120 for AHC's POOR workmanship and installation!!!!!!!!!!!!!.I was appalled that I was charged this much.This is NOT the 1st time Ive used AHC BUT its THE LAST.I went into their store and and when I waited for the manager (30 minutes he was on the phone on a personal call) .Finally when his phone call was completed Iwas asked what was the problem.I explained how the lock malfunctioned that AHC installed and I was locked out and the ahc employee stated this should never have happened (being locked out)..I asked what the warranty policy was and he danced around the warranty time and then said "its about 6 months or so..Huh?..Its NOT posted in the store, I looked and the mgr had no idea.He REFUSED to let me speak to the owner.At that moment the AHC employee walked in (the one that came to my condo) and was listening to me and the mgr discuss the issue and turned and called me a liar...Now Im being called a liar by an employee that has now denied what he told me about the employee installing it wrong...Maybe I am a female and thats how they treat females? Not the first time this happened to me at AHC when i had a question about a new lock system for my properties..i was treated rudely as if I was "bothering them and they had other bsiness to attend to.I plan on taking the owner Bill P( who incidently can nevr be reached in person or by phone and wont return phone calls) to court.I spoke with another locksmith right after and he told me of a police officer that was also overcharged by AHC and the officer complained and was returned some of the money he paid for a lock change..Guess if your a cop or a guy you get some cooperation and not called a liar in their establishment in front of another customer.I will NEVER EVER CALL THIS BUSINESS AGAIN.I have warned many about no guarantee on their work and you might catch them in a bad mood and get treated like a 2nd class citizen..I have a business in this town and if I treated my customers like they did of me, I would be out of bsuiness..Apparently ths is a common practice for AHC..Becareful with these bullies especially if your a female.I would like to add that i have had thee same employee arive to change locks on one of my properties and he was in a bad mood that day too.He always seems to not like what he does and takes it out on the customer.He would never ever work for me.I have kept receipts and records of the entire incident. read more
