My teen and hubby have been coming to Isaac for hair cuts for a few years. They both refuse to go elsewhere. Great cuts and hospitality.

New to Asheville--- walked in -- No one was around-- waited like 5 minutes then owner came from the back room...I asked him if he was opened, he seemed confused and said he was open---- He asked me if I had an appt. I said "no, but you do walk-ins?" he said "yes", then handed me his business card to text him for an appointment... mind you there were no clients in inside... Called and was told that I had to make an appointment online so I booked online for the next day at 11:30. I used the get directions button on the website and GPS took me to the "old" address. I arrived at 11:25 to see a poorly handwritten sign that said they moved. I called to get the "new" address and was told that it's 10 min away. I stated that I would be 5 min late for my appt. and was told that it's OK and to come on in. When I got to the "new" address and walked in, there was a customer in the chair getting a haircut and was told by the barber that he had the appt. time that I had booked online. He then told me that "maybe you booked it for tomorrow?" I immediately walked out. Will not be getting a haircut here! read more

Isaac has been cutting my hair for over a year now. I think he cuts my hair better than any other barber that has ever cut my hair. He has a great eye and I always feel that my hair looks really sharp when I leave there. I trust him totally and often just tell him to cut my hair the way he thinks will look best. I really like the convenience of just going to his sign in page and making an appointment. You never have to wait. I would recommend to anyone that if they are looking for a place to get a great haircut that Isaac is the guy to see. read more

I was in Asheville for one evening and needed a cleanup so I went to this local establishment. Isaac the barber is very friendly and did a great job and it was an amazing price. Highly recommend this old school barber - they do the best job! read more

Nice little shop. Couple foods dudes in there that take pride in there work. Fair price for a cut.

They give great haircuts but are not very organized. Don't come unless you have ALOT of free time to wait or schedule an appointment. Waited 2 hours for a haircut during a work week lunch break with 3 people ahead of me. read more

I got married on 10/10/2020, me and my best man came into the shop to get a straight razor / beard clean up.... man Isaac is a top notch guy who did a great job. Couldn't recommend the shop enough. I can't speak for the haircuts as I didn't get one. Couple weeks ago walked in on a Friday around 2:30 PM as I've been looking for a local barber and website and storefront said walkins welcome. Sat down and waited. a few minutes passed and I was asked if I was {insert a customer's name}. I said no. I was asked if I had an appointment. I replied no. A few more minutes passed and I was asked if I would be able to come back tomorrow (Saturday). I replied "probably not". The guy proceeded to hand me a business card and said to text him for an appointment. I assumed this was a subtle way to say "without an appointment, you shouldn't be here". I walked out. Would have been nice for this to be on a sign or mentioned somewhere. I didn't expect to be immediately seen and was willing to wait. Wasted my time and money to park. read more
