My vehicle had a tailgate issue which after multiple trips to the dealer was still unresolved. So I left it with Tyler at Bimmers South and he stuck with it and was able able to diagnose the problem and come up with the fix - everything works great now. After the repair was complete, Ginger was very helpful in meeting me and allowing me to pick up the vehicle during non-business hours. The price was very fair, too. I've taken my 325i to this shop twice, once in late 2015 and again last week (June 6). My first experience was quite positive: the man at the desk was a bit gruff, but honest and straightforward, and it seems the work was done well. So I felt good about bringing it in again last week to deal with an AC issue. Unfortunately, this visit did not go so well. The man I had dealt with the first time was nowhere to be found. I told them about the AC problem, and they seemed to acknowledge it. I mentioned my AC problem again when they phoned to recommend a few other service items (which I accepted). When I picked up the car a few days later, however, the AC issue had not been addressed at all, and in fact the staff seemed completely unaware of it. Since it was late in the day, and I had already returned my rental car, I took the car anyway. When I phoned the next day to complain, the guy made no attempt to understand what I was talking about, and instead flipped through his notes to explain how he was not responsible. This was incredibly annoying: on reflection, I see that the shop never tried to understand what I was experiencing when I drove the car. Surely that is key to customer service in a repair shop! To top it all off, the guy never gave me a paper receipt, promising instead to send it by email. Three full business days later, plus a weekend, I still have not received it. I am not sure whether to put this down to incompetence, or to a reaction of petulance after I expressed my annoyance on the phone. In either case this is utterly unprofessional. I will never visit this shop again if I can help it. read more

I started bringing in my LR3 a year or so ago and won't go any where else for service. Ask for Greg, he is wonderful! Everyone listens to your needs, respects your time and tells you the truth about needed repairs and up keep. I can't recommend this company highly enough. Deserving of a 1/2 star rating, absolutely the worst customer service after the job! The job became overly expensive even after the estimate, and shoddy work was done to the car of which I had to take the car back to a BMW dealership to have the work corrected what they did. So the bottom line is, I paid these knuckleheads $1,000 and had to pay the dealership an additional $285 to fix what Bimmer south messed up. I recommend that you take your car and your business elsewhere other than this place. You will not be satisfied! read more

I had my thermostat and water pump replaced . When I picked up the car my transmission light came on and it wouldn't drive anymore. When ask to speak to owner about the situation, he did yell at me after I paid him over 1500 dollars . The owner is Crazy .Incompetent workers . Don't let this people work on your car . I don't usually do reviews, but The guys at Beamer South were absolutely amazing! I took my twin turbo 335i to the dealer thinking that I blew out my turbos, they quoted me over $8k for replacing both turbos and a valve cover gasket....went to Beamer South for a second opinion they found the hoses loose on the turbo, problem solved! Only charged me $200 for the diagnosis and repair and will be doing the valve cover gasket this week! Saved me well over $7k by just being thorough and honest! Thanks! read more

DO NOT TAKE ANY VECHICLE TO THIS PLACE. Awful and terrible for the short version. Most of the negative reviews that I read were exactly right on the evaluation of the services provided. For the longer version---read further----I brought in by 335i for the dreaded reduced power check engine light. The diagnosis----which took two days---was a failed rear turbo. When I questioned how they knew that it was the rear turbo exactly the service manager put me on the phone with the mechanic who stumbled through an explanation of--"well I know that the front turbo is good so it has to be the back one." Fair enough I guess? i asked how much time he has in it he said 2 hours. I asked how long to pull the turbo and replace it---he said 6 more hours. At 100 bucks an hour i figured 800 bucks was fair for the job. WRONG. i delivered the turbo myself 6 days later and was told they would get right on it and it would be rolling by the end of the week. WRONG. After 5 more days i called to check on the progress and was told that i needed a handful of parts to finish the job---that they knew i would need when they started but neglected to pass that information along. This is where things really went south. At this point they were 3 days past when they said it would be done. After some questioning i found out that they had worked on the car for 10 hours already and needed an additional 4 hours to complete it after the parts arrive.---DOUBLE the original amount of time to complete the job. Really regretting the mechanic choice at this point but too far in to turn around. 6 days later---i get a call that the car is ready and like new. I show up to check it out and the service manager sends somebody else out to talk to me. I stated that i wanted to drive the car before i paid for it. They acted like i was going to steal my own car but they eventually gave me the keys. I drove a mile---same issue....reduced power mode. i brought it back and was told there was a sensor needing to be replaced to get the fuel map right. Really? you want me to pay twice the original price and the car still is not fixed? I figured i was on What Would You Do or something. i told them to fix the sensor---they said it would be done the next day. WRONG. I was told it only takes 3 minutes to pull and replace the sensor----they charged me 90 bucks to do it and when i questioned the labor the service manager told me it was because "they had to wait on the part...." What ever you do----DO NOT TAKE ANY VEHICLE TO THIS PLACE. cost me 1900 dollars and 3 weeks. terrible. read more
