An assortment of food is also available for purchase including sandwiches and french fries that smelled really good. Once a week they have free pizza. There are several signs and flyers about gambling addiction. So clearly some people take their bingo playing to another level. Slot machines are also available at the back of the bingo hall. It's too bad there weren't any recycling bins. All that paper from the bingo cards and schedule of games is just thrown in the garbage. Shame on them! On the other hand, there are free used books available near the entrance. The decor is umm, interesting with large, bizarre murals, cracked red vinyl chairs and purple tables. My wife and I traditionally come here once a year and love this place. Every time, tho we are not regulars, we find very friendly staff who remind us what to do and what's the best package to purchase. One other tradition we have is having a poutine at break time. It's actually pretty good. Lots of gravy and cheese on cleanly crisp fresh fried fries. We look forward to our next yearly visit. read more

The building is shared with a gym so parking close might be difficult but don't fret, you'll find something Decor They've recently done some renovations so it's been pulled from the 1980s into the early 2000s. I have an announcement to make. BINGO World sucks, nobody come here. My chances of winning might be higher if everyone just stays away. In all seriousness though, I had a lot of fun. I came to Bingo World for their 10:00p.m. session, and most of the elderly has gone home to bed, so the venue wasn't too crowded. It was my first time here, so I had to purchase dabbers (they sell them for $2.50 here) and I also purchased three specialty games ($2 each) on top of the four line game booklet. I saw regulars with an electronic tablet that scans their booklet code and automatically dabs for them. So, you see people eating their dinner and just staring at a little screen. That little screen is available for additional costs, but come on, the dabbing part is what makes Bingo fun! So when people call out BINGO, staff will come around to tables to yell out the card number and pay you in cash on the spot. The pot is divided between whoever gets Bingo at the same time. My friend had Bingo for a 1-line hardway with a prize of $100 - soon after he yelled Bingo, 17 other people yelled Bingo as well. So, at the end, everyone only won $6 each. My boyfriend thought the arena was stuffy and smelled like old people, but I thought it was fine. There are plenty of seats available, and a nice cafeteria in case you get hungry. You could also purchase a toonie ticket - Say that you got Bingo for one of the games, and they call out your toonie ticket number, you'd immediately win an extra $5000! Tip: 1. Pre-dab the FREE space in the games that aren't aiming for 1 or 2 line hardway (no FREE space allowed for those) 2. The number appears on a television screen before the announcer calls it out, so sit strategically facing the screen for time efficiency! When I think Bingo I think of senior citizens spending time out of the house....but rather people of all ages show up. You'd be surprised, this venue is quite large with rows of bingo tables and screens. For those who prefer slot machines, they've got a small section at the back in addition to a small kitchen serving quick and simple snacks. Monday's are their half price days and it can be quite exciting as there's always chances of winning cash. Awesome place that I don't mind visiting again. read more

Bingo is sooo much fun! I know this place is somewhat filled with elderly people but I enjoyed my 3 hours so much I can't wait to go back ! I was so confused about how everything works but the people there are more than helpful and always available to explain. They have free fountain drinks, coffee and tea. They have a little cafe with some food aswell. Near the cafe they have about a dozen or so, slot machines. The place is pretty big and there's always a spot available. They call out numbers pretty fast so pay close attention. When the games are actually happening the place goes quiet and everyone's fairly concentrated. A good number of people were winning and they actually come right up to you and hand you cash- make sure you're at least 19- If you happen to miss some numbers they have a big screen that shows all numbers called out. The whole programme lasted about 3 hours and eventually my back started hurting which is inevitable for anyone. If you forget to bring a dabbed they sell them at the cafe for $2.50 but I would recommend buying it at the dollar store. read more

Throughout my life, I have been exposed to many forms of bingo. Bingo in french class, bingo as ice breakers, and so on. Little did I know, they are nowhere near how Bingo is actually done in a bingo hall. One Saturday, my bf and some friends suddenly had an urge to play bingo and decided to check out bingo world. We picked up some dabbers at Walmart before hand so we would not need to buy them there. We made it in time for the 10pm session and lined up at this little desk to buy our game sheets. To play you must have the basic booklet of games which comes in 4 sizes (3x3, 3x4, 3x5 and 3x6 bingo cards). The first time coming it was $17 for the 3x3, the second time coming it was $20 for the 3x3 because it was a special night where the prizes were higher.There are a billion extras you can buy like early bird games, an electronic bingo system that plays itself and others special game booklets but of course that's extra $$. Seating was easy to find as most people come for the 7pm session. The chairs are comfy, people are generally nice but for the most part keep to themselves. There are staff floating around selling extra things and also there to pay you out in cash if you win! BUT they weren't too helpful in teaching us how to play even though they knew we were new to bingo.. so I advise you to go with people who know what they are doing. There is also a snack bar which is stocked with chips and other random things and when you buy your games they give you a little coupon for a free soft drink. Also, washrooms are big and clean Some things I learned the hard way.. so you won't have to! 1) 1 line hard way and 2 lines hard way means you need to make a line without using the free space at all. 2) Within a column a number only appears once, for example if you see B7 in the first bingo card, the other two below it will not have a B7 so move on to the next column 3) Get the program so you know which game is happening and on what coloured sheet! read more

This place is awesome. Very clean and well maintained. Easy process to get started. Staff are super friendly. Complementary drinks include soft drinks and coffee. There is no admission fee. Play for as low as $2! They have a decent kitchen serving sandwiches, salads, French fries etc etc. Will definitely be back for some more!! read more

It's not just old ladies here! I recommend the $60 package for sure because it gives you a computer to use. There's free drinks as well. Just don't get addicted after a win. :) read more
