Got to try their lunch menu today. Can't comment on parking as someone else picked up the food. If I were to describe the food, it would be "mediocre mall food with twice the batter". Seriously. I'm not sure why they have to batter the prawn such that the batter is thicker than the prawn itself. Everything is also deep fried. Spring rolls, wontons, chicken.. the list goes on. Another sign of authenticity are the tubs of "lemon sauce" and "orange sauce". Someone please tell me which part of China you can get those items. The food does the job for sure, but hopefully you're not looking for authenticity. read more

We had our family at Bings the other night and were very pleased with the updated decore and cleanliness of the restaurant. As usual, the food was great! The only negative was, where we were seated the air conditioning vents were blowing down on us. It was so cold my wife and I had to switch seats and when our hot food was delivered, it cooled down very quickly. I had to sit sideways in the booth to block the air and prevent my dish from cooling off faster. Hopefully the establishment will remedy this in the future. read more

Why the good reviews? Horrible food. Lemon chicken was saturated with grease. Fried rice was tasteless. Pork had so much fat in it. All the dishes were pretty much bland and underwhelming. I would NEVER order from here again. Go to Rays Wok in Spruce. Way better food read more

I found out something new about my dad this weekend: he loves won ton soup, especially the won tons at Bing's and he's been coming here for years. He says it's always busy, and even at 4 in the afternoon on a Sunday, it was. But there's lots of staff, so the service was good. I ordered the Vegetarian Nest, which is a nest-like bowl made of deep-fried shoestring potatoes and inside were the usual assortment of broccoli, peas, mushrooms, watercress, baby corn, etc. The server suggested a side of rice, and with the nest and the rice and the coffee, it was just too much. (Oh, I just realized, I still have some rice in my trunk.) It was good though. I like that there is a vegetarian section, even though they use chicken broth on everything in it. Therefore, you might say it's not vegetarian at all, but at least they're up front about it. They also say in their menu they "cannot guarantee against any allergies," which makes their confidence that they have gluten-free options a little dubious. Oh, wait, it says "Vegetable Dishes", not "Vegetarian Dishes." See, they might not be sure whether your dish has MSG or not, but at least they're honest. read more

Bings has been around forever. In the past (about 20 years ago, before I had moved away and traveled extensively), I thought the food was good. For better or worse, I recently visited Bings again for nostalgic reasons and found that the menu was largely the same. This, in my view is not a good thing. The food was salty, unnaturally colorful and bland. I realize from the hustle and bustle that Bings caters to local tastes, but hope that they can add a little more pizzaz to the menu in the future. We just drove all the way from Sherwood Park to Spruce Grove for our favorite Chinese spot. Came in with our family of 4, needing only 1 highchair. I was told by staff that they wouldn't give me a highchair because they had them reserved somewhere else in half hour. I was rudely told that if we wanted to stay and take the highchair that we'd have to forfeit it in half hour and that another family eating there at the time would also have to give theirs up as well because "we cannot deny a reservation". Extremely displeased that our family was turned away from your restaurant. Basically if anyone's going there for dinner tonight with small kids, you're being turned away. They "suggested" my 1 year old to run around in the booth. read more

If u want Chinese food go to Safeway buy your frozen Chinese dish cook throw on sauce. That's what u get here. The ginger beef was dry and not your typical ginger beef( the sauce wasn't even spread on even) it was yellow not brown, the honey garlic chicken was stringy dry chicken balls with some sort of sauce thrown on. The chop suey was very good since it was home made. We're here once before wish we didn't give it another try. read more

This is my favorite place for chinese. The place is clean, the staff friendly and the food is great. What more could you want. Thereis a reason it is packed every night for supper. My favorite is the combination 1 B with chicken balls. The staff is friendly, courteous and efficient. More restaurants should take notes. You are not going to get exotic lizard foo young or anything like that but you will get a great "north american chinese" meal at a fair price. The girls in the lounge are excellent too. read more

The food is horrible. It's tasteless and plain. And if you think you are going there for chow mein you are in for a disappointment. I ordered chow mein only to be served a plate of bean sprouts. Then I argued with the waitress that this was chop suey. She argued back that the only difference between the two we're the dry crusty nasty noodles they put on top of the "chow mein". Since when is chow mein a dish of bean sprouts. From now on I will enjoy my chow mein NOODLES from oodle noodle. read more

Totally impressed with their outstanding service. Had ordered food for 50+ people and needed it earlier than expected. They did everything in their power to deliver and boy did they ever. The place was busy and our service was great. However, the food was disappointing. First, their combo plates for one are lacking in options. I ordered the special because it advertised chow mein but I was served chop suey with some kind of crunchy asian noodle sprinkled on top. The special came with 3 deep fried won tons that had 3 drops of sauce on them each (so they were very dry). The dry ribs were mostly breaded fat. They did, however, rectify the dry rib situation by substituting sweet and sour boneless pork. The prices were reasonable but I would probably not eat here again. read more

If it was possible to give negative stars, I would be doing that. Bing's has the worst Chinese food I have ever ordered. The Ginger Beef was as tough as shoe leather and possibly cooked several days, if not weeks ago. The Sweet and Sour Pork was just as bad. Even the rice was hard. There is nothing positive to say about this restaurant other than avoid it. read more
