The room was a scrumptiously warm haven and all I wanted to do was fall into the fluffy king bed, but I resisted because I still had to eat, and let's be honest, hunger trumps sleepiness. I was very impressed with the modernity of the room. It had a button-controlled light system installed by the door, the desk, and the bed, with options for dim lighting, table lighting, or full lighting. It was also equipped with two outlets and USB ports, one by the desk and one by the bed. The bathroom was large and accessible - support beams surrounding the WC and a big shower with two wide doors. Not sure if they're all like that, but I was digging the big shower! It was also extremely quiet. Needless to say, I slept wonderfully and wish I could have stayed another night!

Super service in a historic building from around the 1500's that has been updated with modern accommodations (key cards, flat screen TV) but still maintains the rustic traditional feeling. Breakfast was included and was a great assortment of breads, fresh fruit, meats, cheese and they offered cooked eggs as well. Great start to a busy day getting this nice breakfast in their dining area. Location is also a major plus since it's about a block and a half to the public parking and a equal distance to the Markt. I have stayed at a few places in Brugge but this is definitely going to be my "go to stay" whenever I visit.

So I've stayed in a LOT of 5star hotels. All have been grand but THIS hotel outshines them all. I have been here before - quick stays as a 'sidebar', over nighters. But this time decided on an extended stay. It's a smaller hotel, less than 20rpoms in total. But each is elegant & comfy & welcoming. Our suite is beautifully arranged with gorgeous roof top views and a sun deck for the 4 rooms on our floor. The unbelievably gorgeous restaurant is by night the amazing Le Mystique (wonderful food, elegant atmosphere, and the kindest, most attentive staff!! A MUST!!). and a beautifully done breakfast buffet by when the sun comes up. Their specialty is poached eggs and OH!! Are they 'special'!! Charcuterie & Sausages & Bacon & breads & fruits & grains & yogurts & cakes & juice & coffee & Champagne round out the delicious menu. The location is perfect! A 3 min walk to the main market place, 5 min to the main shopping area, and dozens of restaurants close by. A local food market is across & a bit down the street & Belgium Waffles are a hop away. But far and away.. the thing that separates this hotel from all others are those who seem to love working here. If I could figure out how to rate a review with 6 stars, I would give them 20. To say they are accommodating would be a bit like saying winning a hundred gazillion billion dollar lottery is 'a pleasant afternoon'. I could spend hours, remembering the kindnesses & smiles & attentive acts and never feel as tho I have given them enough respect. They are truly all just spectacular. I have never encountered a kinder, more attentive staff than that of the Heritage. The hotel location could not be more convenient. They offer valet parking, which feels necessary in Bruges, and for €30 a day - well worth it! The breakfast included in our stay also had champagne- yes- I said champagne. In the evenings a tray of port and sherry is brought to your room with a light snack as an aperitif, and gratis! The hotel restaurant - Le Mystique- was the superb fine dining experiences of my life. I cannot say anything negative about this hotel - it is just not possible. If I ever find myself in Bruges again, I will absolutely be staying here.

You have to get directions from the front desk and park about a quarter mile away. Not too tough but if you miss the turn you will get lost like I did. Our room was on the first floor which I am never a fan of. People could see inside our room from the street in the evening when dark outside and light on inside so make sure to close the shades. Overall, the room is nice but not as nice as I thought it would be. In particular the bed wasn't too comfy and pillows were too soft. They have a cool lounge area with a fireplace to have a drink after dinner or late night. Very cozy. They also serve afternoon tea in the room if you are into it. My wife is so we did it. We came during Christmas so the market was going on which was fun if you want to try different seasonal food/drinks. It is right down the street. They also have a lot of chocolate shops and other souvenir shops nearby. It was a nice stay but for the price it wasn't the experience I thought it would be.

I got a hibiscus tea and my husband a black tea. The snacks arrived around the same time the tea did. The tea was in bags, not sure if that's their normal way or a COVID precaution but we are used to seeing loose leaf tea at afternoon tea. Not a problem, just something different. I loved my hibiscus tea and my husband loved his black tea. So that worked out nicely. One minor issue was that my teapot did not have a thing at the top to protect from the heat. So when I went to put the tea bag in the pot i burned my hand (not badly, but still ouch!) i assumed it was safe to grab! Oh well. On to the food - We had 3 different kinds of sandwiches: a salmon, an egg salad, and an avocado one. I'm allergic to shellfish so they gave us the avocado instead of their normal third choice. We got 4 scones - 2 regular and 2 raisin - with clotted cream and homemade jams. We then had an assortment of pastries. Everything I tried was good, I didn't even have room for the sweets! I preferred the raisin scone over the regular (which I never thought I would say). Overall it was a good experiences.

The hotel is a 17-minute walk from the train station. Walking is the easiest way to get there, even with a bulky suitcase!

Centrally located on a very quiet street only 1 block from shopping, a grocery store, and lots of great waffle and ice cream establishments I couldn't imagine a better place to place the hotel in Bruges. Beyond location the hotel was modern yet retained its classic elegance. The rooms were normal size and had comfortable beds, a well stocked mini bar, TV, and a very nice bathroom complete with custom Fragonard toiletries. The hotel staff was nice and was able to provide recommendations, assist in reserving a taxi, etc. They also staffed the bar - a small, Charlie Chaplain themed room (no one really appears to go there). I should also note that while I usually don't prefer hotel breakfasts, this hotel really puts out a wonderful buffet spread every morning. Eggs, sausage, and all the usual things you'd expect but what WOW-ed me was the nice selection of local cheeses and several tasty desserts (yes, it's ok to eat chocolate at 9:00 AM in Belgium), fresh squeezed orange juice, and even champagne (for free!). With all of those options (and yes, I ate them all daily) my favorite item was the cooked to perfection waffles (available upon request)... something I'll spend the rest of my life trying to replicate. In fact it's not busy and you can often get a room all to your lonesome for a measly $24 RUE with breakfast included. There's no bar like the other hostels but amazingly, the vending machines dispense Belgian beer! Hoorah!
