Amazing. Simply amazing. This is must-visit and definite highlight for any trip to Valencia. I'm not a fan of zoos but the Bioparc is miles ahead in terms of providing wild life with a thoughtful environment that mimics the creature's natural habit. The emphasis is on the animal and not on human observers. There are no cages and the environments and enclosures allow for various viewing points. You can closely see a variety of animals cohabitating and in the the Madagascar area, you have lemurs running freely around you. Often zoos are hectic and packed, Bioparc was more tranquil and fostered an experience of being on a safari out in nature. I highly recommend that anyone who visits Valencia do at least three things: 1. Get authentic Valencia Paella 2. Get Seafood Paella 3. Visit Bioparc. read more

We have been to a lot of zoos but this one was a very unique and engaging experience. Both adults and toddlers were enchanted with the comfortable and happy animals. We were amazed at the closeness the animals came to us on their own. One Lemur came onto a branch within inches of our face and hands, no glass between! She just climbed on a branch and layed there. It was all we could do to avoid the urge to pet it. This enclosure was like an aviary or butterfly garden but it was full of a variety of lemurs. As adults, we were thrilled. Amazing scenery and not your average "zoo." The Valencia Bioparc had almost a safari feel where you were able to walk through the habitats of the animals, get up close and personal, and experience the animals in their ecosystem. The Bioparc advertises no bars and cages, which is accurate for many of the animals, but the animals are enclosed and contained. That being said, the animals had a lot of space and the bioparc did a good job trying to replicate their habitats. You were able to get relatively close to elephants, giraffes, and other animals common in Africa. The habitats and animals were beautiful, active, and the experience is enjoyable for young and old alike. read more

Modern, high quality zoo. Animals appear to be well taken care of. Not a lot of steel and concrete in the cages. Tickets are typically priced for a high quality zoo. A bit out of the way, but worth the visit with kids. read more

This park is amazing. Probably one of the best zoos that I've been to. It's like being on safari, all the animals are happy and healthy and it's a great day out. The only downsides are that crowd control may be a bit better with the army of prams and feral children screaming but that's not the park's fault. Also the ticket system is the most illogical, cr*ppest system I've encountered: We bought out tickets online that has a scan code etc. Get there, go to bookings queue. They then make us email them the tickets. Then send us to the back of a queue which all in all took 45 mins. Then when we got to the front, they made it email to them again so they could PRINT it out. Then made us wait, then we gave them the tickets back with the bar code. They scanned it and then printed a receipt which was given to the person at the gate. It was just a receipt! They could've just scanned it from the phone! It was so infuriating and waste of time we nearly left. The park is amazing but getting in was the most moronic experience. read more

It seemed like we had the whole park to ourselves, which was amazing. Lots of exhibits that look carefully maintained. Loved those elephants that were so agile and playful. The hippo was also so active. Really most of the animals seemed happy and were so active. A must see in Valencia! read more

Amazing just pure... Amazing. So let's start with how the story begins. First of all my parents told me about this zoo and I was like yeah yeah ok just another zoo of animals like c'mon I'm 13 but then in the end I went and man was I blown away!! Even the parking is amazing underground I even think they air condition it! Anyways we arrived and the decoration and the resorption is incredible (I do have a DSLR but still it's nice to look at!) So I got some incredible photos and then the zoo, it's just so natural you think you can almost touch the lions, no fences, no glass just pure air! So I took some amazing photos even though it's quite small on Google maps it feels huge and you don't feel like the animals are just caged up! I was even lucky enough of a giraffe to come close enough I could actually touch it!!! So I took some even more amazing pics and then I got back home and it's just amazing looking back on that day and I can't wait to go again!! read more

We went to the Biopark yesterday and all agreed it is the most amazing zoo we have ever seen. The immersive experience makes the enclosures disappear, fences are replaced by landscaping. It makes you believe you are watching the animals in their natural habitats. Amazing. read more

If you are in Valencia you need to go check out this zoo. The Madagascar exhibit contains free roaming lemurs and is a must see. The zoo contains a good variety of animals, and the exhibits are set up so the animals have lots of room to roam. Make sure to grab a beer in the cafe, have a seat and watch the giraffes and antelope graze from your chair. read more
