It does sell some envelopes and stationary but doesn't have nearly as much choice as many post offices do. The only reason I'm not giving this post office five stars is because of the lack of choice in stationary. The services they do offer are excellent. They are of course the same as other post offices but where you might have to queue for half an hour in other London post offices in this one you rarely queue for longer than five minutes. The staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to have a chat when it's not too busy. There is a seperate desk to buy lottery and stamps. I've always found the postman who collects the post at the end of the day to be really friendly and helpful too. He always accepts whatever post you give him with a smile and will wait for you if you're just getting a stamp to put on the letter.

The majoity of the staff are very helpful but there is one member who is slow and not very helpful. I have heard them have stand up rows with several people as they can have a condescending manner. Some lunch times can be very quiet and some are very busy. You can walk right up to the counter or be waiting 20 minites. There is no pattern to it, days of the week or date in the month seem to make no difference. There is a Christian bookshop to the back of the post office and a small restaurant upstairs which does does good, wholesome food. It is not very cheap, but it is all made fresh on the premises.

There is a service road in front of the building with a number of free parking spaces. However, it's not always possible to park there. This particular branch gets very busy. It seems to be used by small businesses for cashing up their takings and there seems to be several people that sell huge volumes on Ebay. This Post Office can issue Car Tax Discs so it's best to avoid at the end of the month. This Post Office only has a small selection of stationary in store.

You just relax while fiddling on your phone, writing Yelp reviews or something, and then when your number gets called you go up and they sort out whatever you need to do. The result is a relaxed atmosphere and staff who seem happy, and therefor treat you well. They are keen and happy to help, and the post office offers all the usual services you expect. This post office is very conveniently located which has the bonus of being easy to get to but the…read moredraw back of always being really busy. If you're lucky you only have to queue up for ten minutes but generally if you go at a convenient time (lunch time or after work) you're looking at a queue that goes out of the door and a wait of at least half an hour. When you finally get to the counter you may be lucky enough to get a friendly face and helpful person but you're just as likely to get someone surly and unhelpful. If you're just getting stamps then there is a seperate place to buy them and there is also a seperate queue if you want something travel related. It's not a bad post office when you consider how many people go in there every day but if I have a choice of going to that one or another one I will generally pick another one.

The thing to remember with that is that the hours are different to the main Post Office - they're open earlier and in the case of run up to Christmas, they're also open later. The staff at the parcel pick up are excellent - they're quick, polite and frankly one of them is like a Jedi master or something as when myself or the wife turn up, he sees us come in and knows exactly where are our parcels are without even looking at our address. Craziness! The main post office itself is much the same as the most of them - they don't have a number system like some major ones, but just have a good old fashioned queue, which moves reasonably fast depending of course on just how clueless some of the people who are sending parcels. But that isn't the fault of anyone working here or any other Post Offices!

A kind human pointed us to this location which we actually walked by on more than one occasion, it's easy to miss as it's on the lower level of the building. Once you walk in follow the signs on the floor to the stairs down. At the post office you're able to go to the counter or self-service station for quick service. There are some speciality sets in a display case that you can go to the counter to buy. Employees were kind and we were in and out quickly. If you are a tourist mail yourself a card or two just be sure to get the right postage!
