Ok after going to a closer to my house laundromat I ended coming here when that place was packed. I wish I found Birdies first. Omg the price difference is crazy. Use one of the huge machines, seriously. I think I fit all my clothes into one huge machine that would have cost me like over $13 (for multiple machines) at the other place And they always had an attendant there each time I went. He was super nice and very helpful. He must have seen my bewildered face as I looked at the various machines. He was cleaning up but stopped and came to offer help. Super cool. The only thing I didn't like was the quarter dryer machines. I still paid like the same amount but the machines go for like 7 minutes per quarter. But I can live with that and honestly it's probably cheaper since a load of lighter items will cost you less. read more

This laundry mat is always clean , there is always staff around to help you and I've never had issues and my laundry always gets washed and never feels damp or half ass cheap washed . Really like this laundry mat and in the mornings they have specials for washing and it really helps out ! read more

Used to love coming here to do my laundry but lately it's been way too expensive for poor service w their machines esp w their new dryers. You would think w how much they charge their new washers and how they lowered the minutes for the dryers per quarter they would get some WORKING dryers. I would leave my clothes in for 42 mins and it's a regular amount of clothes and they come out DAMP.....so now I have to let them know and stay at the laundromat for an extra 42 minutes because of their machines. Our dryer went out so back to Birdie's. Unlike others, I think their dryers are great! Try overloading your dryer at home and see what happens! The facilities are clean and well lit. I haven't use the laundromat in very long time. I found birdies on yelp, and I'm very very pleased with their facility. They have plenty of baskets to Aiden moving your laundry from your car to the washer into the dryer. They have many different sizes/capacity of washers washers and dryers. Employees regularly check the facility to make sure things are in order. They are also very responsive when you ring the doorbell if you need help. read more

I hate washing but I love washing at birdies. Bathroom always clean an it's always a handsome man helping me with my clothes. Always got my court shows on the TV. This is the place to be if you don't have a good washing spot. I really enjoy this laundry place. I love how they are still using quarters instead of the card way. This is a honest review sorry if the owner doesn't like it. Don't waste your money drying clothes here. It's 25 cents for 6 minutes to use the dryer which would be reasonable if three of the 6 minutes wasn't a cool down period. So you get 3 minutes of actual drying time and 3 minutes of cool down time. I put 8 quarters in 6 small loads and finally got irritated took my wet clothes out of all 6 dryers and left. Now tomorrow morning I have to go to my regular laundry mat and dry my clothes which a quarter gives you 8 minutes and my clothes are hot and dry at the end of 24 minutes. The dryers at this laundromat weren't even hot when I took my clothes out. Sorry but I don't have money to waste drying my clothes here as I'm sure most people don't want to spend more than $2.50 per dryer. That's ridiculous. And just for reference I cleaned the lint out before using the dryers. You would think because they are new dryers they would be efficient but that's not the case. read more

I like the cleanliness of the machines, floor and dryers.Also, there was a bathroom that was clean to use for customers. Owner was on site and helped resolve a customer issues with his dryer. I left happy. Other customers left happy as well. Great experience overall! read more

This place is safe and clean. I've used this a few times and I'm a travel ER nurse so I've used many laundry places and this by far is the best I've used. I hav been traveling for over 15 years as an ER nurse and I recommend this place. The only other place that compares is the one in Newport News Virginia but only because they sell food and drinks there that is cooked lol . read more

Pro - This place is very clean with fairly good machines there and free WiFi! :) Con - Closes at 10pm. It should close at 11pm instead. Be careful! They have automatic locking doors. The doors lock at 9pm! :o There's a warning in the front door but no warning on the side door. So don't go out and come back after 9pm because you may not be able to get back in to get your clothes! I'm guessing the reason he have it is just in case he does not come in to close up the place. The place can close up by itself. Overall - I recommend going to this place. Not the nicest laundromat in town. The washers are a bit more expensive than some laundromats, but the big problem is the laundry comes out of the washers soaking wet, forcing customers to spend more money than neccesary on the dryers. On top of that, there was no one there to complain to about the lazy washers. I do not recommend this place. read more

This is my second time coming here , both times the place has been clean and not crowded. I typically wash at home and do not like laundry mats , I come to the laundry mat to wash bulkier items . This place is a little hidden spot and the prices are probably the cheapest I have seen around and Im not having to compromise cleanliness or decent area for it , so I'm happy! This for sure will be my go to spot from now on. I was going to a location before , thier prices were basically double. I also like the fact that they have updated washers , along with the older ones, I feel like the older ones give a little extra scrub if I have items that need it.. Wow! I am wondering where the previous reviews from? . . Relatives? Friends? I normally do not use laundromats as I have my own washer and dryer. My washer broke down this past week and just haven't had the time to have someone come look at it. Went to another laundromat a few nights ago and was pleasantly surprised with how clean it was all over. I had seen the reviews for this place and thought I'd give them a chance, since this is probably the last time I'll need to use a laundromat. I wish I would've put my laundry back in my car, but I'm short for time. These washing machines are FILTHY. Detergent build up at least a quarter inch deep in some spots. There were stickers or label or something stuck all over the inside of one of the machine tubs. Every surface in here is dirty. People just put their trash from (their pockets I guess) all over the counter in here. I haven't seen one person that works here yet. I'm sorry to be writing a terrible review, but I feel like I got swindled by inaccurate reviews. I can't believe the health department hasn't come down on them. You can't be expected to wash your clothing in machines with this much grime in them. It's definitely not sanitary in any way. I am relieved my dryer works. . . I'd have to keep writing if it didn't. read more

My usual spot is down for a week with no hot water so I thought I would give Birdie's a try. They are open late which I love and the have a good amount of washers and dryers. They have 2 of the biggest dryers Ive seen and I believe they can hold 75 lbs of laundry. They have a soap vending machine which I used while there and enjoyed. Their quarter machines are great and the attendent on duty was a tall and thin older man who smiled warmly as he kept coming out to sweep and check up on the place. I really enjoyed knowing that someone was here to help if I needed. My only quirks would be, It would be great to have 2 more really large washers. Its empty in here now but if it got packed I can see how people would wait slightly. Overall I have clean clothes/blankets/towels/sheets after a household sickness and I would come here again. I've never been to a laundromat before today and I was sort of scared, because the stereotypical people who could be there. I went today at 7 am and it was very clean with only a few people around. I used three washers and dryers total. It cost me only $1 per wash due to an Early Bird Special from coming before 8am, Monday-Friday. So I already got 50 cents off each wash, on my first time! I love saving money. It had free wifi and use of small rolling cart which came in handy when moving them to the dryer. The drying cost 25 cents per 6 minutes. I ended up paying only 75 cents to dry a huge load of towels, so it was pretty great. They also have three pinball machines and two old gaming systems, all in working order. My boyfriend hit up the pinball machines and I used the free wifi. I am definitely coming back next week! read more

By far the best laundromat in Modesto and actually best I've ever seen in decades..I'm OLD!..Also use a cane because I can barely walk. So laundry is really difficult. I'm waiting for a new washer that keeps getting back ordered. So I'm spending a lot of time and money doing Lau dry.I usually dry it there too since wet clothes are so heavy. Anyhow here's the great things about Birdies...there's so many I.don't know where to start!.. The place is sparkling clean, shiny floors, nice bathroom, emaculate with an attendant usually tidying up.constantly. there's a doorbell if you need him when he's not right there. If anything goes wrong like you need to stop a washer etc..he's right there and knowledgeable. It's family owned and operated..music playing..tv's..liquor store next door for snacks..several working pinball machines right there..seating. Clocks..shady location with nice street view..air conditioned..machines that run extra long wash..42 min! Actual HOT water if you select hot!..clean large folding tables..rolling carts for carrying laundry to your car etc..change and soap/laundry bag dispensers. They have every size washers and dryers ..they have long hours of operation every day..and if you go there from 7-8a.m. you get half price washes on the regularsized top loading washers And to top it off the guys working there are such gentlemen..courteous friendly upbeat and easy to communicate with ..they open the doors for me and have even helped me get my laundry in my car. As a handicapped senior I really appreciate that. I've been to the other laundromats because I don't usually go down Tully ..but I heard about it from a friend, and I'm so glad. They care about providing excellent service. I will miss going there when I finally get my washer! read more

Only offers a few parking spots and is a small laundromat that feels cramped especially when one ghetto ass dude is taking up one of the only two tables to do his laundry. He is also blasting horrible rap music in his speaker but not loud enough to drown the overhead music so I get to listen to Lil (insert whatever rappers name in here) on top of pop 40. The view is amazing too, all the women were overweight but wearing crop tops and low riders so I got a fantastic peek at their ass cracks every time they bent over to get a load out of the washer/dryer. The only redeeming qualities are the super friendly on site worker and the liquor store around the corner that sells cold shooters....you might need one or two to get through the wash and dry cycle. read more

I'd recommend coming when there's daylight just because once night falls, it's kind of sketchy. I've been twice here, once in the morning around 8a and it was clean, not a lot of people either. Second visit, I came around 5p and there were several people and had to cram spaces for once we were drying clothes. There were some skeptical characters there but overall it wasn't as if it was threatening. I recommend the normal dryers and not the super large ones since those rip off your money. read more

If only there was a way to present this establishment with a multitude amount more than just 5 stars I would hands down bless them with what they have worked and earned so hard to receive. I had ended up in the parking lot of Birdies to use the wifi to get some help with my wife's and i's vehicle which had just gone through losing 2 tires from puncture wounds. I was in my mindset of depression and shame in myself for what life choices I dealt with made me feel. I felt like I had no way to find a since of positive to over come struggles. So as I began to politely ask around for some help I was blessed and honored to have met a gentlemen with a kind heart, come to find out this gentleman was the manager of this fine establishment. His name is Doug. Out of every person who I had talked to,I would have never expected this young adult to return with a spare tire. Forever did he change my life. Without knowing who I was, what I was going through in life, and where my mindset was taking me, he gave me something I will cherish forever. He gave me a chance. With this selfless act and kindness he shared with me, he reminded me that miracles are real and that life does matter. I observed from a distance his quick and eagerness to great customers and rush to a machine in dire need of repair. He was polite to everyone that had gone through the doors, skilled when a washer needed some adjusting and I am I HIGHLY POSITIVE he is doing a amazing job. So as I said at the beginning Birdies Is worth more than just 5 stars. They've gained my respect, my excitement, my friendship but most of all, because of this Great miracle Doug and his selfless act, this amazing establishment will always have my Trust.. So hats off to you sir.. You can believe you'll be seeing me more from now on.. Thank you Birdies for being the go to place this community has been needing here in Modesto..
