We hired Ed in July to lay sod in our backyard. We had just recently moved into a new build and…read moredesperately needed grass in a dirt yard. We met with Ed multiple times and worked out exactly what we wanted. We were told it would take 10 pallets of sod to do the entire backyard. We agreed to the amount and schedule when the job would be completed. They arrived on time and worked all morning laying sod. However, they ran out of sod before the job was complete. There was a patch on the side of the yard that needed to be completed as well as multiple holes/patches throughout the yard which had not been covered. On one side of the yard, the sod was laid great. There were no gaps left and the entire area was completed. However, as you get to the back and other side of the yard, there were many gaps left. We were told these would all be filled with the 11th pallet that he would order at an additional cost. We decided to pass and have since finished the yard ourselves. It has been a few months since we had the sod laid. I wish we could say we love the yard, but we have had so many issues with weeds. Our yard has basically just become a weed garden. No matter how many/long we pull them, they just come back. We did not have a real weed problem in our yard before laying the sod. In the area where we laid sod, we also have not had any weeds. For the amount we paid, I wish we didn't have to spend so much time pulling weeds and could enjoy the yard more.

He actually told me that at this point in the season, any type of weed prevention or elimination would not work very well on my lawn. He said to scalp the lawn (cut it very short) and the weeds would become stressed and eventually die as the season got warmer. I was a little surprised at his response in that he didn't try to sell me something that wouldn't work to my satisfaction. Definitely a place I would trust for all of my outdoor needs.
