I didn't have a fade or a soul patch but I managed to communicate with the villagers who worked there. We used signs and grunts given how little street cred I had at 60. The pumpkin scone was nice and fresh but doesn't have much pumpkin flavour. The croissant was very delicious and I lived that it had filling inside it as well. For drinks we got a Cortado and Mocha. I have never had a Cortado before but they mentioned it was like three quarters espresso and the rest milk. On first sip very rich and can def feel the caffeine but very smooth.

It's not a large space but well arranged and bright with some lovely seating directly by the windows on the main floor. To access the coffee shop you need to enter the building first. There's a gradual incline of a step depending on where you approach the building but I didn't spot if it's accessible for wheelchairs. Maybe I needed to walk further along the building? I'll let my photos tell the rest of the story as I was only able to try a date square and my cousin a tasty chocolate mousse of something as we had lunch prior to this stop.

The menu was a little overwhelming and decided to order a latte and a cappuccino along with a slice of hummingbird cake and a Saskatoon rhubarb scone. Our coffees were made and they were served they looked delicious as you'll see in the photo. First sip coffee was smooth and full of flavor no bitter taste to follow at all, so please with my order. The service was very friendly so I think they were also the owners. The café is located in the common area of the building which presumably is for a variety of offices. There were people coming and going like you would see at a shopping mall so that might prove distracting for people studying or working but it was very quiet while we were here. Will I come back? Certainly if I'm near the downtown and looking for a light lunch. Otherwise Red Deer is a large city now so there are many other places to explore. Finally made it happen on a Saturday morning trip out to Red Deer. If you haven't heard of Wild Brewing, they specialize in kombucha. 6 flavours on tap and nitro coffee from Blackbird Cold Brew (from Calgary). In case you've been living under a rock and don't know what kombucha is, it has many, many health benefits! Tasty too. The inside is small but they do have one small table for two and a picnic table outside to sit at. Love the garage sliding door and the cargo bike! The branding/logo is on point. Slick, sharp minimalistic design. Since it was our first time, we wanted to sample all their options. A couple other people that dropped in were getting their growlers replenished. Their prices are pretty reasonable and in line with other kombucha places I've visited recently. $5.00 for a 12oz cup and $10.00 to fill a growler (1L). - Flight ($5.25 for 6) - they don't have anything fancy for their flights but we ain't too picky. They come in cute 50ml sized beakers. Takes me back to chemistry class. I thought all of the flavours were great but Breezy and I mutually agreed our favourite was the peach ginger. Blueberry mint was a close second. Love it!
