Also good for that emergency prescription you need filled because you're leaving the country early the next day. Other than the long opening hours, the pharmacy is pretty much like every other one. Stocks the same things and staff are pretty nice considering they're there late at night dealing with stressed sick people.

One time I had to come for eye drops and one staff member saved me the trouble of going through all 25 different products to inform me there was only one suitable for contact lenses wearers. They sell hosiery which came in handy twice for me when I had managed to destroy mine somehow. You never know when you're going to need the sorts of things a pharmacy offers, tweezers for example, antibacterial wash (uni keyboards) nail polish, they have it all. They also do passport photos. I had mine done here for a new student ID card only to discover after that I was entitled to a free card with photos from the clock tower. Don't forget it is here, tucked behind UBS, and yes if you need them, they can supply you with legal drugs.

Those GP's who aren't clever enough to specialise don't bother to listen to first time parents, because "obviously" first time parents are overprotective and worry too much. When we did find a specialist, he diagnosed the severe reflux and prescribed a combination of Neocate formula and Omeprazole. This calmed our son down, and now he is back on normal formula and off the Omeprazole. During this time we filled our prescriptions at the Glenfield 7 Day Pharmacy, a pharmacy where the staff are intelligent, eager to please and friendly. The store's convenient opening hours and location, makes it the best pharmacy on the North Shore. But that is just my opinion.

In fact, they might be one of the only pharmacies in town open into the evening/night hours. I've been here at least a dozen times, most often filling prescriptions. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes and usually it's even faster than that. I've called to speak with the pharmacists on the phone and they are helpful in conveying what they have stocked and what prices they charge for various items. The shop also has your usually assortment of over-the-counter items, some baby items, cosmetics and random little gifts.
