When I tried to ask if I was at the wrong time once the glass window finally opened, the lady was quite rude. Over the years there's been several "misunderstandings" with the office people. But it's not like I'm going to go find a new Dr or anything, so we just deal with it.

However, I did not know this until after I got to the hospital. When you're 37+ weeks along, it would have been nice to know in advance when your doctor isn't going to be around. But, there are bigger issues. Dr. Reining was the on call doc. Things were moving quickly. I got to the hospital around 4:45 am and delivered at 9 am. The baby's heart rate had a significant drop. My daughter was delivered by the hospitalist OB via forceps and an episiotomy. Dr. Reining came in after I delivered. Didn't say a word to me, and left. I was upset about this and wanted to discuss it with Dr. Meyer during my 6 week PP appointment. After all, when it's your first baby and: 1.) Your usual doctor isn't around 2.) The on call doc from her practice doesn't show up on time and there's an emergency. 3.) The hospitalist OB, although he was completely professional, delivers your baby using forceps. (Most younger docs would have used a vacuum.) It's a scary experience. I understand that OBs' can't be at the hospital all the time, nor do I expect them to be, but like I said, things were moving fast. I wanted to feel heard. Instead, she got defensive and snippy. I won't get into the details, but I felt patronized and dismissed when I brought it up. All I wanted was an apology and some understanding from her or Dr. Reining, but apparently that was unreasonable. I never expected to see Dr. Meyer in that light. Her personality went from hot to cold. But I lost all respect for her as a person and a doctor. For other reasons, like appointment providers being switched without my knowledge or consent, hour or more waits for the majority of appointments. I felt like a second rate patient at this practice. At one point during our conversation, Dr. Meyer told me, "If coming here troubles you, you can go to a different practice". That's exactly what I'll be doing. To anyone reading this...I would advise you to do the same. When it mattered, the doctors' and staff in this practice let me down in every way possible. I chose a practice of predominately younger women for a reason. Not the hospitalist OB who was older male doctor with antiquated techniques. I was looking forward to the wonderful experience everyone seems to have. Sadly, I got the opposite and was basically told to leave when I expressed my concerns.

If you get diagnosed with anything relating to female infertility like DOR, have short cycles,…read morethrow early follicles, or respond poorly to birth control, go elsewhere. My concerns were ignored, i was put on a cookie cutter protocol, not told despite my frequent questions that my 'standard' protocol had been changed to a luteal phase retrieval because of high estradiol numbers at baseline signifying either a cyst or early follicle--just like I'd been concerned about. I was encouraged (read, worried about losing 7.5k$ due to prepayment that was not per their contract reimbursable through clinic cancellation) to not cancel a round that THEY should have preemptively canceled due to extremely low estradiol numbers for 6 follicles, leading to the retrieval of 1 egg and 5 empty follicles, rather than cancelling on their end and reviewing my protocol as should have been done. To have them call on the next day and act like I should be excited that one follicle fertilized normally with a sum total of .9-1.5% chance of it leading to a live birth (85% attrition funnel, 25% reduction for chance of genetic disorder, 50% attrition for sex selection--the entire reason i began IVF to begin with, and 18-23% live birth chances for those math curious) was the icing on the cake

I was still scheduled for a procedure without this information and I found out on my own. When I requested my medical records to be sent to my new clinic, they ignored the request and never followed up. This place is all about squeezing every dollar they can from vulnerable patients. They nickel-and-dime you, mismanage records, misbill procedures, and show no regard for your care or outcome. Save yourself the stress, money, and emotional toll--go anywhere else.

We love The Children's Clinic!…read more When we first started our search for a Pediatrician, we felt overwhelmed by the options. We were referred to Dr. Plax by 2 sets of friends. When we first called to see if he was accepting new patients, the receptionist said he would personally call us to schedule a meeting. We ended up meeting him at the clinic on a Thursday evening at 6PM. We were elated that he offered to meet us in-person before we made our decision, especially at the end of his work day. He sat with us for 20 minutes and answered all of our questions and eased our concerns. We knew after that meeting that he was definitely going to be our baby's pediatrician! His level of care and concern was something we never expected from a doctor. We were blown away! Every visit thereafter has been so great. He is a very calming doctor who eases all of our concerns and never makes us feel crazy for asking questions. He really knows his stuff. He comes from a family of pediatricians so it's apparent he has passion for what he does! We have never had any problems being seen right away when our baby has been sick which has also been very nice. I had some concerns about my baby so Dr. Plax called me to talk about it. He was then able to see us the next morning! I could go on and on about Children's Clinic and Dr. Plax's care. Highly recommend!

There was a several week period where they had to "review records" before I could schedule an appointment or bring in a sick child. The other office had already "dumped" us because the records were transferred. This left us without a pediatrician for a while, all while needing the second dose of a flu shot. This office told me to take him to the Health Department (um, first off they don't even give vaccines in the City other than Monkeypox and second, everywhere they referred me to did not do babies!) My baby was finally "accepted", after they reviewed his typical shots I guess, and we came in for an ear check. It took TWO 15 MIN calls to even make an appointment. The staff that answers the phone was very rude as well. Upon arrival, there are three doors you can use. I used the one that said "well visit" and listed ear ache. After going in, they tell me I'm in the wrong place and need to use the sick door. Ugh, then why list ear ache?? The wait time is minimal, it went very quickly, and I really liked the doctor, but the difficulty in making an appointment is something I don't want to deal with on a regular basis. It's also a HUGE office. I already transferred out.
