As I sit here and read all these horror stories about sales and service, and as I experienced one. I am wondering why the owner doesn't just sell the dealership to someone that would care about their customers. Or maybe Ford motor co should just pull his franchise. worst buying experience ever. Sales manager provided false information regarding vehicle specs including mpg, put down competitors, didn't want to give us an out the door in fear we might check elsewhere, whined about physical ailments and eventually told us to go walk around the lot while he helped another customer we were told he would try to source the vehicle we wanted from another dealership but he never got back to us. I taught customer centric selling to senior managers of a fortune 50 company for 20 plus years and this was the worst example of customer service I've ever experienced. read more

I really liked dealing with Doc Lewis, sales rep, for my new Bronco. It was a ten month wait, but it was very worth the wait, in my opinion. I LOVE my new Bronco! Doc was very patient, and did some serious "handholding" during my wait. Also, if you're on the west side of GF, consider that re: service, this dealership is the furthest west in town, and they've been around 90 years or more! read more

purchased a 2014 Ford F150. (not from bison) put 40,000 miles on the truck, burnt a valve at that point. ordered a brand new Ford factory reman. paid $7000 for it. Took six weeks to receive it installed motor, took it to Ford for official warranty, sign off. came with a three year unlimited mileage warranty. put 50,000 miles on the brand new engine burnt another valve. Took it to Ford under warranty. This was in June 2024. bison informed me that they were having trouble finding a new replacement head. They weren't willing to just grind the valves in March 2025, they finally received a new head and installed. could not even take it for a test drive because it sat out in there parking lot over the winter without them using their head and disconnecting the battery. had to go and buy a new battery. And have it installed. they took the truck for a test drive and determine that it was having cam phaser issues after the new head was installed. Had to put a new cam phaser in. finally returned the truck to me in April 20 25. cleaned it up and put it up for sale. Because it took so long we had to buy a replacement truck while we were waiting for this one to be fixed. people came to test drive the truck and it is leaking oil like a sieve. bison has not done anything in their power to ensure they are supporting warranties their service technicians obviously are below par. Somebody needs to step up at bison and make sure that people who are spending thousands and thousands of dollars on motors and buying new trucks and buying second trucks are being taken care of. We have been a bison Ford customer for about 40 years. this is completely unacceptable. read more

Took my Ford Raptor, which I purchased at Bison Ford, in for servicing. The driver's side heater had quit working, so I took it to an independent local shop. They fixed the driver's side heater but then a few months later, the passenger side heater quit working. At that point, I took my truck to Bison Ford and paid a $200 diagnostic fee only to have them tell me that the diagnostic fee doesn't diagnose heater issues. (Seems like something they would/should know before running the pointless $200 diagnostic). They said they had to pull out the dashboard, which they presumably did. At that point I was informed that the only way to fix my passenger side heater would be to replace my after-market stereo with a factory stereo?! They claimed that, "there wasn't a port on the after-market stereo to plug in the passenger side heater". Which doesn't make sense because I've had the after-market stereo in my truck for 4 years and the stereo and my heater worked. I paid the $200 fee then had to take my truck elsewhere to get the heater repaired. Sad state of affairs when the Ford service department can't fix the Ford I bought from them. (Update: Took my Raptor back to the stereo guy who put in the after-market stereo, which according to Ford was the problem. Stereo guy said MY TRUCK HAS THE FACTORY CLIMATE CONTROL HEAD, which is NOT associated in any way with the stereo. Stereo guy fixed the passenger side blend door and fixed the issue.) If I could give zero stars I would. I put money down when I custom ordered a bronco from them. It came in earlier than expected which was super nice, but I am currently working in Denver. So I made arrangements with them to come pick it up in a week. Which also meant asking for a few days off work to do so. Literally 2 days later, Andrew called me to tell me he "accidentally" sold my car off the lot. They supposedly have multiple protocols to keep this kind of thing from happening, but obviously those were all bypassed and the car was signed off on to go ahead and sell. I'm extremely frustrated and upset. They honestly didn't even care. The manager I spoke to was a jerk on the phone. They ended up just giving my deposit back to me. I will never again order from them and I'll do my best to not take my vehicle to them. Absolutely no integrity! read more

Stay away from this dealership. I had a problem with my car a few years ago and ended up meeting with the owner. He flat out told me "I don't give a damn about the problem with your car because you didn't buy it from our dealership". Wow. It was still under warranty. I HAVE bought two brand new cars from Bison, but the owner obviously didn't give a damn about that. Had their salesperson called me when I asked them to I likely would have bought from Bison again, but they never, ever reached out to me after test driving the car I wanted. Fast forward to my recent misery with them... I had a recall on my car and they installed Fusion parts on my Edge!!! I had to bring my car in AGAIN. They looked at a front-end issue for me and claimed I needed bushings for $1,200 plus labor. I prepaid for the parts and they never called me to schedule an appointment to install them, so I cancelled. They said they would refund me, but two weeks later I still didn't have my refund. I had to go down to the dealership only to learn that they refused to give me a full refund. I had to pay nearly $200 for a "restocking fee". It gets better... I took my car to my normal, trustworthy mechanic and guess what? The bushings on my car are perfect! Bison Ford misdiagnosed the problem and were ready to install $1,200 worth of unnecessary parts (Plus labor of course!). I called them to let them know of this additional error and I was told "I just tell you what my technician tells me". They simply don't give a damn about their customers. I'm kicking myself for thinking that perhaps they had improved. Sad for them....I am planning on buying two brand new vehicles in the coming years, and I am a die-hard Ford fan. Guess what? I will NEVER spend a dime at this dealership again! You'd be wise to go someplace else too! read more

If I could give them a negative number it would be a -10. Took my truck for a leak, for which I have insurance, well I had to take it a second time since they did not fix the leak the first time so I got nailed twice due to my deductible. and the asswipe Joshua has the balls to tell me that it was because of the deductible. MFRs! You did not fix it the 1st time I took it, OH, and btw, my truck still has a leak. Thank you for nothing as I will have to take my truck elsewhere. I also spoke with them about floor mats only for the front, since my truck has vinyl flooring. Cameron orders me floor mats from Weathertech, notwithstanding I had told him that I personally had called Weathertech and they said to me that they did not have floor mats for my truck.,.. but that is another story. The idiot orders me Weathertech floor mats for a super crew, not a super cab, and kicker, he orders for the back seat. NEVER AGAIN WILL I WASTE MY TIME WITH THIS PLACE! read more

The overall sales experience was excellent on my Ford Focus, mainly because I knew the used car manager really well. Where this dealership falls flat is the service after the sale. Their costs on genuine Ford Motorcraft parts and accessories are exorbitant compared to Ford dealerships in North Central Montana and a local Motorcraft distributor. Their service advisors, always hungry for commissions and pushed by management to generate more revenues, try to gouge customers for all kinds of BS services and repairs. Ford makes some great vehicles, but this dealership's parts and service fall substantially short of the blue oval's reputation. I'll be seriously considering other makes when it comes time to buy replacement to my venerable Ford Focus. read more

Took it to a different Ford and they let me know that it was a warranty fix and put a BRAND NEW ENGINE in my truck for FREE! Could you imagine if I trusted Ryan at Bison Ford? I would give them a negative rating if possible. Service department is terrible, unreliable and zero communication skills. This isn't from one experience. This review is over 3 years of consistently terrible service. Scheduled a 1 hour service for 9 am. At noon the vehicle has not been serviced. Usually they run an hour behind but this is completely unacceptable. Do not use there service department. Do not buy vehicles from bison ford. read more

After having a bad experience with Lithia we made our way down to Bison. We worked with Gabe and John they listened to what we were looking for and what we were trying to accomplish. Never once did they try to push us into a different vehicle or try to change our minds in what we wanted. Bison didn't make us feel like we had to haggle for a better trade in price or haggle to get the purchasing vehicle to a fair price. We have 4 kids and car shopping is normal filled with boredom and crying. Our 2 yr old really enjoyed playing with both these guys in our down time and they made the car buying process enjoyable for us. I dropped off my 2010 Ford Explorer for inspection on a faulty lighting issue that was draining the battery. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was notified quickly what the issue was and what part was required for the fix. The part took longer than I would have liked to come in but according to Bison, they had no control over that as it was a supplier issue - fair enough. The price was reasonable and the vehicle is fixed. I can't ask for much more than that. read more

I took my 2014 Fusion in to Bison on a recall. They actually called me & scheduled the day & time for service. They told me they needed the car for about an hour. They immediately took my car to a service spot & I went into the showroom for some coffee. They came & got me 20 minutes later, my car was ready! Very courteous service manager & mechanic that worked on it. Excellent service! I'll be back for any service issues after this great treatment! A+ read more

They put my family in danger!! We had 2 bulges on the side wall of our cars passenger side tires from the tires we purchased from bison Ford. We were told by the service manager that it was normal and that it was safe to drive. That was the first red flag! I talked to multiple tire shops and I was told that any bulges on the side wall of the tire is a Hazard and to stop driving the car immediately and have the tires replaced. We have been loyal customers for over five years. They failed to send the tires to Goodyear to try and get a warranty claim. After talking to tire experts I was told it could be a factory defect in both tires due to no obvious wear on the sidewalls from hitting a curb! long story short I had to buy 2 new tires at no discount!! This was the second incident at bison ford and final straw I will no longer be doing business with bison ford! Do some research before you let them touch your Vehicle. read more

They worked us in and even used their shuttle service to take us to the Charlie Russell Museum and returned to pick us up while they were fixing the truck. When I presented the screenshot of their KBB offer, they said they had services that had to be paid for to sell the car. We were looking for a suv to update for our family. We knew what we wanted and, although we live nearly 300 miles from Great Falls, I saw the vehicle on their website. I called the dealership and we were able to negotiate a deal I was happy with in a very short time. They offered to bring the vehicle to us free of delivery charge and told us that we were under no obligation to buy it if we did not like it. Do not buy anything from these crooks. The company I work for has purchased over $400,000 worth of vehicles from them over the last 20 years. Recently we brought a F-150 (that we purchased from them) in for a recall because airbags were randomly going off on the drivers side. A few months after the work was "done" the airbag went off in the face of an employee. Now they are trying to make us pay for the repair, $4,000. No customer appreciation! If they are willing to fight one of their best and biggest customers over something like this, imagine what they would do to you. read more

I would give this place a zero if I could. Brought the Ford truck in as it was losing power. They said they fixed it. Went to pay the bill and it was $300 more than they quoted. When questioned, they said it was a computer glitch that added the extra charges and acted put out that we questioned it, but they did correct it. Good thing we thought to dispute it. We drove 4 blocks and it was doing the same thing. We brought it right back and they acted irritated they had to take it back. They said they would get to it the next morning first thing. We did not hear back all day and left 3 messages thru out the day. It is almost the end of the day and I still have not heard back. No one was available to check and see what the status was each call. They have had the vehicle 4 days now and still can't get it right and act bothered. They should be grateful they have a job. HORRIBLE customer service and questionable ethics when billing. read more
