Most of my soaps and scarves were purchased from going on days where the studios are open to the public. One of my Frida paintings was purchased from one of the resident artists there. Just recently (Nov. 17, 2018), I volunteered as bartender for Winter Street Studios annual Winter Holiday Art Market (WHAM) I had a blast making and serving drinks. Art, awesome people, craft beer, cocktails, and wine. Umm, sounds like a lovely day to me!

They had food, alcohol freely flowing, a silent auction, and fashion show. Winter Street Studios was able to accommodate all of those things in different areas. The space is bright, open, and can easily be made into whatever you need as far as a space. Problems: -The parking was valet that night, but we opted to park ourselves. You have to walk over railroad tracks to get to the building and then through some gravel. On the way out we had to wait for a train to get to our car. The parking is definitely limited and the building was not at full capacity. - If this place is handicapped accessible then it's well hidden. There are stairs and gravel between parking and the 2nd floor space we were in. Drunk people were wobbly leaving. - The bathroom (yes singular) was a couple of rooms being used by both men and women. It was a little strange, but we worked it out. If there was another bathroom, no one found it. Even with all of that said, the space is great and you can do so much with it! I really liked that there was a DJ after the fashion show in one room and it was quieter in the silent auction section so you could choose your noise level! If you are looking for a place to rent out for a party/auction/benefit/etc... check this place out.

I rented District Art Gallery (DAG) for my 40th birthday party. The space was perfect for my event…read moreand the beautiful art on the wall highlighted it's glamour. The gallery's management team was awesome and was able to work with me on set up and other things. My only complaint was the valet and parking situation for the guests. It was mismanaged poorly by the valet vendor (not the Gallery) and they wound up taking more money from me and my guests than they were owed. DAG is getting a new vendor, so hopefully that will be handled soon. In closing, I will definetly rent the gallery for future events. If you need a space for a private event, District Art Gallery is the way to go!

Mark my salesman took the time to understand my needs and presented a flooring solution well within budget and the quality for the installed price is unparalleled. Manuel and the install crew truly blew me away. I was not able to have anyone on site to "supervise" the installation and had to fully trust they would do a good job. Manuel stayed in communication with me and sent me progress pictures and when I got to the house to see it that night I was stunned. The actual stretch and lay of the carpet was perfect and they had neatly rolled and stacked my remnants. But it was the cutting a square of it as a welcome mat that was the cherry on top, along with not being able to tell they had even been there. There were a few carpet fibers on the driveway but I seriously mean like six of them the clean up was SO GOOD. Call the folks at Carpet Giant (they do other kinds of flooring too). Your future self thanks you. P.S. Please understand and educate yourself about your baseboard situation before having carpet installed. If the baseboard was painted after carpet was installed previously the new carpet pile height should be as tall or taller or you aren't going to like it until you repaint the baseboards for the thinner carpet (or laminate). I already knew about this so when Manuel called to tell me and send me a pic, he was so relieved I already expected that and was ready. Our new carpets look amazing!!

My first issue was installers, first day two installers, second day one, three day 2. Second issue, apparently, the floor was not floated properly. The floor creaks in every room. I would suggest anyone purchasing hardwood to hire your own installers.
