We were a large group of 8 and shared the: 1) Local Cheese Plate (Changes daily, we had Aged Cheddar, Starlight, St. Malachi, and the Black & Blue; $14) 2) Beets W/ Goat Cheese and Dill ($7) The starters we ordered were all so delicious! Of the cheeses, my favorite was the St. Malachi. I've never tried this one before and it was so flavorful, a bit tender and nutty. You have to try this if you haven't yet! For myself, of course I had to order the Weeds & Seeds Salad (Wild Salad Mix, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Bee Pollen, Edible Blossoms, Honey Mustard Vinaigrette; $8). I loved the light Honey Mustard Vinaigrette and the touch of Bee Pollen. For my main dish, I ordered the Rainbow Trout (Trout Filets Dusted with Sumac and Pan Seared Topped with Vanilla Buerre Blanc and Red Raspberry Gastrique; $25) W/ Hot Greens and Cold Veggie as my two accompaniments. We then used the Susq chef to cater our wedding and to make a long story short, their off site help left a lot to be desired. The bar tenders and some other staff were extremely unprofessional and while they did not ruin anything for our guests, it was disheartening to hear about their obnoxious behavior from guests after the wedding. From selling our alcohol to guests, to some of the waitstaff consuming alcohol while they were working, I could not recommend them as on off site caterer. There were many other instances that occurred over the course of the planning and the wedding day that were also disappointing, but all in all, I am sure there are plenty other off site caterers who would be better.

I kind of feel weird on going through with this catering event. I'm sorry." I explained again that I'm in the military and that the event was in PA, not Germany. No response. If this is how Boob's treats our military who is just trying to plan a family event for one of the rare times they get to come home to visit, then I want nothing to do with this business. I am disappointed and appalled. Luckily I was able to find another caterer who is not xenophobic, and the event planning was saved. The appetizers, were simply just ok....Fried Zucchini and a few meatballs. Why I ordered Chicken Parm after tasting the meatball appetizer and not really digging the sauce. I should have gotten the Chicken Marsala.... My bad on that one. Needless to say I only ate half the Chicken Parm. My wife only ate a quarter of her Eggplant Parm. My friend did enjoy his Lasagna.... So there is a plus. Not that I will be in Bloomsberg Pa anytime soon but I know if I was, Rose Marie's won't be a place I would try again. Sorry... So perfectly seasoned is the meat that I never use any sauces or condiments. I usually get the collared greens as a side. Once again, it's a large portion, well seasoned and perfectly complementary to their amazing meats. Additionally, the Atomic Hog staff is friendly and capable. Atomic Hog is highly recommended and like many in the area, we hope they find a permanent brick and mortar home!
