A nice cafe on the Hervey Bay marina. Simple food, reasonable coffee, good view and friendly service. The waitress seemed to be the only one working and as lunchtime became busy, started to be less able to look after all the customers. read more

Perfectly cooked, they scrambled my eggs without an upcharge, and the service was friendly and fast, too. This location is great as well, on the corner with a beautiful view of the ocean. It's insanely popular so be prepared for a wait if you're coming for dinner on a Friday or Saturday night. One other note: All of the seating is outdoors but under a tent/gazebo type thing.

We had a drink at the bar on our last night there and the lovely staff were nice enough to squeeze us in for a meal, even though they were fully booked yet again. It was without a doubt the best fillet mignon I've had in a very long time. While the decor at the restaurant is a bit dated the lovely staff and accommodating owners make up for it. We will certainly be going back.

Everything I tried here was delicious, and the banana split was probably the best dessert I've had in years. You can't go wrong with peanut-butter sauce, chocolate, ice cream, and fresh banana. The dessert was the star of the show, but the scallop entree was also excellent, as was the bourbon sauce glazing the beef ribs. There's really not much to fault here. Prices are perhaps a bit towards the high end of the scale, but entirely justified by the quality of the food.

WOW WOW WOW! Truly the one word to some up for the food at this restaurant. My partner and I were…read moredriving north several months ago and stopped by Hervey Bay along the route. We already knew Hervey Bay was known for two things - whale watching and the scallops. As we didn't have time to go whale watching we decided to try out the scallops. Nearly every restaurant in Australia that offers scallops mentions that they are from Hervey Bay so we had very high expectations. Keep in mind my partner HATES scallops. So for him to even be trying them was a huge deal. I ordered the Hazelnut Butter Baked while he ordered the Tempura. With no exaggeration these were the BEST scallops I have EVER eaten! My partner even loved them that he ordered a second round. I enjoyed mine more than his but they were both incredible. The hazelnut butter was nothing like Ive ever tasted before. So rich and flavorful. we also got seafood chowder and spring rolls but I would honestly skip those next to tp just get more scallops. Highly recommend this place! However, they get extremely crowded so definitely try and make a reservation. We came right when they opened for dinner so they had a spare outdoor table for us, but it was extremely windy and cold. With a reservation you can get a seat inside which would have been more comfortable.

We all thought it was well and truly worth $15. This cafe is located i up the stairs in the entrance to the Ramada Hervey Bay. You don't have to be staying at Ramada to enjoy the cafe. Some of them, such as the duck crepes with hoisin sauce, seemed carefully composed and thoughtfully presented. Others, however, seemed hastily thrown together without much consideration given to presentation or flavor. Still, it wasn't a bad experience, and they've got some decent dishes on the menu. Portion sizes are reasonable, and each dish costs around $8 to $9. At 2-3 dishes per person, you'll get a filling meal for around $20 each. Not a bad option for a quick lunch.

We probably should have stopped there but decided on dessert. I had gluten free chocolate brownie that just melted in my mouth and sister had lemon meringue pie. Suffice to say we were completely full when we walked out the doors.
