The next month was 745+ electric now starting July 1 I get another email saying they assess the area and the assessment was high so they're raising it 800+ electric they own the business and they're being very greedy when you talk to somebody about it and they are complete a holes so myself and quite a few other people left to find a more respectful and honest campground. It's not right to gouge prices on out-of-town workers, especially when you're going off assessment, but they own four other campgrounds in the area they can name their price and they choose to price gouge I can't wait till this Data Center is complete and they have no business I recommend not staying there. There is a couple other parks that are catering to these construction workers a lot better and closer because they have deals with the Data Center.

We also drove to the park yesterday to book in person, but the office was locked, no one there, which is why we called today.

They offer at different times, excellent breakfast burritos, burgers almost daily, enchiladas with beans and rice, accompanied with chips and very tasty salsa. Periodic specials appear randomly, such as chicken and dumplings, or chicken noodle soup, and most recently, Friday is fish day. Either a 2pc or a 4pc fried catfish dinner with fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, beans and rice offered as sides. I just enjoyed a 4 pc, and they do NOT skimp on the fish. I couldn't finish it, just too much food, but very good. To keep track of what they are doing, Facebook has they're page, Lake Sweetwater General Store, or the more popular group, Friends of Old Lake Sweetwater. They're posting regularly there to promote their business to us locals. As a Lake Sweetwater resident, it's nice to have this convenience, but if you're passing nearby, worth a look.

We wanted to stay in unique places and I feel so incredibly lucky that I saw this place!! The entire experience started off so nicely when Kim (one of the owners) called us the day we were arriving to ask about our arrival time so her or her husband Mark could be there to welcome us, and she also offered to make us an early continental breakfast since we were leaving before 8am the next day. It was so kind, but we declined because we were good to grab food on the road so we could get home. But that level of customer service and genuine kindness was a perfect example of our stay! Mark met us and gave us a tour of the BEAUTIFUL house, told us about the history, showed us historical photos they got from the granddaughter of the man who first built it. He offered us wine and coffee and the best banana bread I've ever had (seriously I need to email them for the recipe), and he even let us meet his puppy which made my daughter so happy! The house itself is incredible. Mark and Kim did an impossible task renovating it from abandoned nightmare to a breathtaking home that feels luxurious and so special. It really would be perfect for a small family celebration or wedding! Our favorite parts were the atrium in the center of the house that still had the 100+ year old birds of paradise plants that the original owner brought there from Guatemala, and the fact that their beautiful Christmas decorations were still up. We were extra lucky to be the only people staying there, so we really had the run of the house and got to hang out in their gorgeous living room to enjoy the Christmas decor and watch a movie together on our tablet. Everything was clean, the beds were so comfy, the amenities were awesome, the owners are SO SWEET, and Mulberry Manor is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. We've been home a few days and my daughter is still talking about it! If you get the chance, I cannot recommend it enough!

When you are tired of spending upwards of $300 a week at the other main chain motels, you might…read morewant to drive a little bit back and save you some money, even lots of money. You can't miss this place, the unique items outside rendering it kind of like a Southwestern theme will make you wonder if you've driven past some museum or old country props. If you're lucky you'll get to meet Patty, one of two sisters that own this place. This is cabin type stay. The cabins are not large but quaint enough for you to enjoy your stay while not feeling a draft in your wallet. Each room is set up with a bbq pit in front (You have to move it 10 feet from the structure by regulation/law). I believe each cabin is equipped with a mini fridge, tv, bed, and towels. Sheets are changed once a week, usually on Thursdays. There are strict rules here and probably what you're not used to but if you want to remain in good standing and get that good price, then you will have to adhere rules that are posted throughout. When you leave to go to work, you must have your a/c off, tv and lights. This, of course, is to keep the electricity bill down passing the savings on to you and others. There are no visitors allowed unless you pay extra which is about $10 extra a day. You must have an out of town license to stay here and no in town visitors are allowed. Simple rules but understandable to maintain the quietness that is enjoyed by everybody here. Renting is usually given out a week at a time. With a good attitude, you might, just might get some of your money refunded "if" you happen to have to depart suddenly, that is something that NO OTHER MOTEL will usually do you for so mind the rules and your attitude and things will all be fine. There is free wifi here and it's posted on the doors. Nighttime is a little rough on the eyes because there is not a lot of light throughout but you're safe, there is almost no threat of danger here. Your nearest shopping and restaurants are in very close proximity. You can even walk to a few or take a 30-second drive and be just the same. I definitely will return here if I'm in the area simply because it's a neat experience than I've ever had than any other motel and one does not have to worry about doors slamming in the middle of the night and elevator doors dinging. Hope the pictures I was able to take can help you fathom how neat this place is.

Of course it looks nothing like…read moreit did in the 50's & 60's. i have such great memories of the times i spent there on vacations. it is also the place i learned to drive - around & around the courtyard in Maw-Maw's 1949 Plymouth coupe, 3 on the tree [if you know what that means you are old like me . I hope these folks are taking care of the place and your stay there brings you comfort & amiable feelings as you unwind & relax from your time on the road....
