He held a pleasant conversation with me about my upcoming trip tomorrow. He and the other barber were professional and courteous. Wasn't inappropriate with me or my sister which happens more often than not in barber shops. I really appreciated that. He cut my hair exactly how I wanted. He even recommended a way to cut the back to repair the horrible cut I had prior. No his barber shop isn't Chinese themed. I took photos after I left. Lol. It's actually very nice and clean.

Mario is quick, efficient, and offers great customer service. He always delivers on exactly what we ask for, which is not always easy with a 13 and 8 year old. The shop is conveniently located in Alabaster and easy to locate on the corner. It even has the traditional barber sign outside. Mario is very popular so you must book your appointments at least a week or 2 in advance. But don't fret if you can't get him. There are several other talented barbers in the shop.

Especially when there isn't a soul in the place and the employee is sitting in one of the salon chairs. Attached, you'll see my review on Google before I added the business here on Yelp, along with the very nasty response I received. There was absolutely a different way to state the message left on the door, and the tone of the response to a poor review was absolutely unnecessary.

Well, for whatever reason, pit stop is closed on Sunday AND Wednesday. I understand Sunday but... what the heck. So anyway, I checked good ol Apple Maps to see what else was close by and saw Royal Fades a mile away. Went in, got greeted in a friendly manner and got seated in a chair and taken care of right away by a guy named Scottie Musick. I've never had a person spend so much time and focus and attention to detail on my hair before. Dude shaped me up for like 45 minutes, going back over spots with the clippers, cleaning up corners, making sure I had a good bit of product in my hair and everything. The whole time I got to watch Real Madrid make an amazing comeback in the champions league semifinal against Manchester City on their big screen, it was awesome! There's also a pool table so if you go in and have to wait, play a nice game of billiards in the meantime! Best haircut I've ever had and also it was a better experience than I would've ever expected! I'll be back as soon as I need another, Scottie is awesome and loves what he does! Only thing that could possibly make this place better is if they sold beer!

Old Town has a great price, great customer service, and a good haircut. Word of caution: Book your follow up appointment the same day you get your hair cut because they are always booked.
