Academics are solid with a great mixture of modern teaching including Chromebooks, interactive, and minimester concentration on well-rounded events and life skills. Sports are easy to participate in and extracurricular activities are plentiful. Students wear full dress - blazers and ties for boys - during the majority of the year. As with any high school, teenage issues are present but my children have not a complaint about their teachers nor their fellow classmates being extraordinary in personality nor perspective. I recommend this school.

This limits attendance and creates an obstacle for people with disabilities. The prom was a joke. $47 dollars for chips, lemonade and reeses peanut butter cups. There was a time when the proms they put on were beautifully decorated, great food and places to catch your breath between dances. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of a handful of great teachers. There are too many students in classes. The city should have split the high school years ago but..."oh our band. oh our football". This is what they cherish, not students. There are a dozen elementary schools feeding into one high school. If you have other options, skip this high school.

They don't allow MEDICALLY TRAINED SERVICE DOGS for any students who need or have to have one, and on top of that they would only send them to options who are for kids that just need some extra help. Only 5% of our student body has a disability and that including autism. I would rather pay 50k to send my kid to a Catholic high school that I wouldn't even approve of then send them to this school. Respectfully, if your student need extra help(AKA service animals) maybe don't try to send them to options and actual do your job to protect the students more than the teachers. They run it like the government with trump in office, the rich(admin) want to stay rich, while the poor(students) stay poor and underneath them. Young teachers actual can't even do their job because we can't keep politics out of our school and yet isn't church and state separate? If I had a choice I would have just went to Union.(THEY ARE RATED HIGHER AND YET SUPPOSEDLY THEIR SO BAD) Send you kid anywhere else if you don't want them to hate themselves.
