I was given a timeline of anywhere between 3 to 8 months. 9 months later not much has changed and their excuse has been that it is because I live out of state. She started to get an attitude with me like I was an inconvenience and said that a manager would call me back. 1 week later and no one has called me back.... (Frustrating, very frustrating) I am currently trying to make a real estate purchase--- so much for that since almost 1 year later and accounts are locked within dispute with no improvement. I don't need items from 5-6 years ago removed- I mainly cared about 2 items removed (just 2 items!) and that's mainly what I cared about. I was forthcoming from the beginning about what I was looking to achieve and they were overly confident during consultation about it being easy and simple since I had decent credit when compared to most coming in for repair. In summary my low rating is due to the rude service, unrealistic expectations and misleading information. FTC credit repair if your excuse is that I live out of state then why was that not disclosed to me before you took payment in full? I would have gladly looked for a local credit repair had I been properly advised and versed on actual complexities of process. My parents now feel bad that they referred me here because they're also going through a similar frustration as I am and they have been in program for much longer than I. My sister was glad she didn't enroll. I will update this post throughout the process hoping it improves so as to keep the public current on FTC's practices. I really do hope this situation has a happy ending because no one likes to have a couple thousand dollars go to waste.
