I bought a washer and dryer from Best Buy online. Installation was included but when it was…read moredelivered my father, who is older, was here. He was told installation is not included but they will install it for $80 so long as we told nobody. When I found out that my father was scammed by the Best Buy delivery people, I called Best Buy immediately I was told it was appalling and Best Buy HQ would get back to me within a week. Nobody from Best Buy has called me back but my father has repeatedly called them. Finally the delivery company subcontracted by Best Buy gets back to me and they will send me $80 (allegedly) but it will take 6 weeks and I have to sign a document waiving any liability. The worst part is that they didn't even actually install it and the washer and dryer won't work, it's damaged and I still don't have the $80 back that they scammed from my dad.

Clerks we talked to has good basic information. The bad: One female clerk was flirting with me (bad because I am married). If looking for something specific, you might not find it. This Factory Direct was in the same plaza as a Winners store that I frequented every other day…read moreduring my time in Ottawa. It is deadly for me to go into any Factory Direct because I love everything that I see. This store was no different. There was lots of parking in this plaza. I backed into a spot and headed over. It's to the right of Winners when you're facing both stores. I spent a good hour checking this store out. I had a great time and bought a bunch of items. This store is deep. You can find everything from items that are shown on TV late at night when you have nothing better to do, to televisions and small appliances. I saw a cheap Chia pet-like product. I decided to try it out. It needs a lot of water. Mine is a monkey that is supposed to grow grass on its head. It's supposed to take a couple of weeks to see growth, so we'll see how it goes. So far, it has been enjoyable. There are lots of quirky items in this store that are also practical. I got a mini umbrella for my phone that comes with a kickstand. The idea is to provide shade for your phone so that it doesn't overheat when you're using it outside. My phone and I are alike. We overheat when it's hot and humid outside, which was the case while I was in Ottawa. This mini umbrella was purple, so it was a no-brainer move for me to get it. You know what? It works. The curved handled hooked around my PopSocket and actually cooled my phone down. The best item that I got was an attach-a-bag strap that hooks on to your luggage handle and drapes over your luggage. It is the best. I had more than one bag strapped on to my luggage as I took the elevator down to the hotel parking lot the day that I checked out. It was awesome! I used it on my most recent trip to the Twin Cities. It freed up my hands and was such a helper. It was the best $4 investment! If you like candy, there isn't any shortage at this store. I didn't get any, but it was mesmerizing seeing everything from Milka to Toblerone. The selection was impressive and prices were decent. Neon signs. Laptops. Mice (I was told recently that the shift is towards saying mouses, which sounds weird to me). Power bars. There isn't anything you can't find in this store. I have a weakness for small appliances. It was cool seeing ice cream makers, shaved ice machines, waffle makers, rice cookers, and more at this store. So much fun at affordable prices! I also ended up getting a small container of Vaseline with aloe for my lips. It works great for the massive price of $1. I had the most pleasant woman at the checkout. I'm not sure why folks have indicated that staff were rude. This woman asked if I had found everything that I wanted. I sure did and bought stuff that I didn't even know that I needed! I paid with a credit card. The transaction went through without a hitch. Because I had done quite a bit of damage, I got a huge plastic bag for free. Yay! I should visit Factory Direct more often. I had such a great shopping experience here. The travel section, in particular, had great finds that I wasn't expecting. It's a great store with decent prices. I'd definitely return again. (308)

My computer was not working properly, so headed to few places in my city where they can fix the…read moreproblem. Went to a place in Vaudreuil-Dorion suffice to say they did not fix the problem, so in desperation went to Surplustek...and guess what after a few days got a call that my PC was pretty sick, lots of malware, virus etc. incompatibility with some of my hardware, to make a long story short, my desktop is working just fine did a lot of cleaning up and disk cleaning. Very happy customer, the technician Stephane and his wife Virginie are fantastic and knowledgeable. Their prices are very competitive and they don't do B.S. and that is why I will always have a good word for them and their business, they sell anything and everything and they have a computer shop where you can get a new life for your desktop. Thank you so much for a great service, you made a customer very very happy.
