The first visit he probably spent two to three hours or more getting the pool back. He adjusted chemicals, scrubbed the tile and turned the pool clear blue again. The Pool Doctor is a newer business which isn't a bad thing. He devotes the time he has to his clients in a way the big companies don't. I would definitely recommend him.

Omar decided not to show up during a major heatwave in June and my hot tub went green and pool started to develop algae. I Just had American leaks detection out here and verified that the barrel coupling he attempted to install has been leaking and that is why my pool is not priming. Their website touts "20+ years in the pool business" and custom pool design, build, remodel, and repair services in Paso Robles, Templeton, Atascadero, and the Central Coast. However, my experience was extremely negative and serves as a serious warning to other homeowners considering hiring this contractor. What Happened in My Case Before hiring him, my loan company refused financing because he was on a contractor blacklist due to active lawsuits -- a red flag I later confirmed after issues began. I was given an alternative financing method and, trusting his explanation, entered a contract for a full pool build. Payments were tied to construction milestones because I had no traditional pool loan oversight. During the build, many construction errors occurred, clearly due to poor supervision and bad direction from Mark. Multiple portions of the build are out of building code, which means they must be demolished and redone before final inspection can pass. He was absent during most of the build, showing up mainly when money was due. He promised to install a saltwater system but claimed it should wait until water chemistry was balanced -- then changed his number and disappeared. If anything is not right, I as the homeowner have to ask why (why is the water cloudy?) and the response is (shrugs shoulders) call the office and have the send a repair person out to investigate. I've been paying this company to come weekly (even in the dead of Winter when no one is using the pool) because I was sold on "we need be there weekly to stay on top of any issues." That is far from what has been happening -- homeowner should not have troubleshoot water quality issues. The chlorine levels were dangerously high (pool company said DO NOT GO INTO THE POOL) and the salt was too high which I knew because he dumped too much salt into the pool. It had already been diluted by rain water which was pumped out and was still too high. I encourage all customers who are reading that are being serviced by Gold Coast Pool "Pro's" ..sic.. to get a sample of their to Leslie's pool store and get a free test. I had also suspected that Casey was Justin's gf. She wrote a 5-star review in Google and then wrote a 5-star review in Yelp after my 1-star review. He installed motor and wired it up. He also repaired a PITA leak from the spa light fixture, so water would not short out the new motor. Travis ain't cheap, but good value to get spa back up and running at fraction of cost of newer models-if you can get one (delivery's are 3+ months out). He a nice guy to talk to and learn from as he goes if you care to ask.
