For all you non-Aussies, it's totally normal for oily mushrooms and beans to be served at breakfast. Actually, the super high level of oil is why I rated the place a 3 start. It's aiiiight. Nothing special. Totally get the hashbrowns though! They fry them til they're super crispy and delicious. The servers will also bring you coffee if you order from them. They won't tell you though, so make sure to flag a person down if you want more than the black coffee they have in the buffet line.

All in our group were happy with our selections which were reasonably large and cooked as expected, I'm usually hesitant to order a steak in a pub but after a day of physical activity I was very keen for the protein top-up and was pleasantly surprised that the steak was a near perfectly cooked medium-rare, no easy feat when so busy and not something I usually expect given the circumstances.

The hosts Julie and Steve are very welcoming. Just a short drive out of jindabyne on the way to threadbo it is a beautiful location and very peaceful. The property itself is very charming. The room we stayed in had a very comfortable bed and the little touches finished it off quite well. The property also has a sauna and a plunge pool which would be perfect following a day of skiiing. For dinner we opted to dine in and we're not disappointed. The house made pate was beautifully presented and garnished with onion jam, pickles and pickled cucumber and served with crunchy toast. The portion was plentiful and the taste and texture just perfect. For main we shared a veal shank. The meat was cooked to perfection and just fell off the bone. The mushroom gravy was also delicious. We shared a bottle of French wine and were so full that although tempted we couldn't manage desert. The breakfast was also plentiful with a good range of cereals, fresh fruit, juices, toast and cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, tomatoe and mushrooms. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Meaning, the second I visited they didn't want to slice up a massive Apple Strudel log, like someone's going to eat and buy the entire thing. Come on staff people.. During the peak times, they are busy as hell but there's ample seating in the shared courtyard area outside if necessary. Apparently the coffee is decent.
