I'm not too familiar with the whole horse stable/training/riding/etc thing, but this place seems pretty reasonable. It's $70 per client for a one hour Equine Therapy session. They (the client) learns how to take care of a horse, from walking and running it, to cleaning their hooves, to brushing it, to making the horse run laps and eventually riding the horse. It is a pretty cool process and I have learned a lot about horses myself just by showing up. The people that work here are very knowledgeable and helpful. The stables also seem very neat and clean and the horses seem happy enough. Pretty cool place to go if you're into wanting to learn to horseback ride or learn more about horses in general! Cheers!

I purchased a little Spanish Arabian named Hawk. I had horses as a child growing up and in the past…read more15 years had gotten away from it while raising a family. So when I purchased Hawk I was so excited to back into horses once again. I thought I had done enough by taking lessons a couple of years before I bought him to prepare myself for having a horse of my own. Although Hawk unfortunately was not as trained as I was told, I still believed he was the horse for me. The timing was really Good for me too. My dad just met Hawk just two days before my dad passed away. Having Hawk in my life at this time was very special and healing. Before I met Ann, Hawk and I while getting to know each other had a bad accident. While out riding early spring some sprinklers came on near us and spooked Hawk which resulted in both of us falling over and my ankle getting was crushed underneath him. After all of this Hawk and I really needed help. I needed to regain my confidence again and Hawk was still pretty green and needed some help as well. Before Ann I had been told by a couple of trainers here in Davis that Hawk may be to much horse for me, and to think of getting a horse more calm, older and experienced. I was devastated. I found Ann searching online in a desperate attempt to find another answer. I found Ann and she really is incredible! She was patient, listened to me and made me feel that with focus, dedication and time Hawk and I were not a wrong match. Ann is so professional. She is honest. Her approach to horse training is kind and assertive. She helped me regain my confidence. Everyday is still work and Hawk and I are doing well, but I feel confident knowing she is always there to help me when I need it. Sense I have been at the barn we're she teaches I have enjoyed watching her train other green horses. She is awesome to watch. Ann has also been giving my daughter riding lessons in hopes one day being able to ride Hawk as well. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an honest person who really knows horses and has a lot of experience. Ann is really awesome and I am so grateful to have found her. Thank you Ann :)

I recently went to see a musical, Tom Sawyer, with some friends and was pleasantly surprised to see that this family theater had a "face lift". There is a seperate performing brand new building for this theater. Stadium seating with a space below that welcomes all children to have front row seating! Above the seating is where the band sits and they actually play live music for the shows! I remember coming to this community theater as a kid (now I am a adult) and they still put on a FABULOUS show! Summer months have even, in the past, offered shows outside! Another perk to this community gem, is the summer camp for kids teaching them about performing arts and of course a production for the community at the end! Great venue! Great shows! Live Music! I love that they only take 4 babies at a time and have lots of toys and books for the babies to play with. I don't know about the other rooms since I had to discontinue my son's care there when he turned 1 due to a change in our work schedules, but I would definitely recommend the infant room. If we ever need full time care again I will look into using this daycare center. The other benefit is that they are very affordable if you are a cash paying parent. The office staff is also very friendly and I really did like the director, whom I believe is Jessica? The ONLY reason I give 4 stars is because if the normal infant room teachers are out (which rarely happens.) They have to use subs - which they could use a little bit more training I feel. Most times the subs were awesome though. Its just hard leaving your child with someone new and who doesnt know them well.

We just pulled our daughter out of there because they aren't even pretending to apply a curriculum for pre-k. They're babysitters, now, and not even very good ones at that. Most recently, we found soiled clothing stuffed into her backpack with her other clothing, sheet, and blanket. Not in a bag, just right into her backpack which now is soaked with urine. My four-year-old doesn't often have accidents, but good lord, what lazy, thoughtless person thought this was ok? During the pandemic, staff was supposed to be masked. Almost daily, either on dropoff or pickup, there were staff seen in classrooms or in the office (the part parents and kids walk though) either completely without a mask or the mask pulled down. Every time I brought it up, I was told that they'd "mention it in a staff meeting" or confirm that yes, it is their policy for staff to mask up. Regardless of your views on masking, the fact that they just didn't enforce their own policies that are supposed to be in place for safety, is unacceptable. The owner, Tom, also spread misinformation during the pandemic regarding masks and other preventive measures via signage posted at the center and at the summer camp location. This place started going down hill quickly when the director (a couple of directors ago, I think) left. Andrea was the last good one, but it was clear that she was being hamstrung from actually doing anything good there. I know it's tough finding a child care center these days, but please, if you have the option, look elsewhere. I'm sure there are other places just as bad or worse, but I no longer trust this place to keep my child safe and certainly not to prepare her for kindergarten. The dozen or teachers who have cycled through that room in the past few months have been uninterested in getting to know the kids, have completely ignored kids who clearly needed attention, were downright mean to kids (witnessed during dropoff on numerous occasions). If you can help it, please trust your children to another center. Also, the five star review that this is updating was written with the promise of a starbucks giftcard. I'm not sure how many other positive reviews are genuine.

The facility seems run down, cabinets/doors peeling, large play items falling apart. The whole place is in need of a thorough scrub and update some items. I also have spent several years working in animals shelters and I can honestly say we were able to keep our facility (with zero budget) cleaner and the smell with in reason.
