I was recently on holiday in Czech Republic. After contacting Black House Tattoo, I settled on a date and time to come get a small tattoo. Communication with the staff was decently quick, but the design I sent ahead of time was not used nor mentioned during the visit. You must make a deposit to set an appointment which I did not find strange, but no work was done prior to my visit, so the need for a deposit really only benefits the shop, as I still had to wait on tattoo prep during my visit. I think this is more a process improvement needed on their side. The shop was clean and the shop took every precaution I have seen in prior tattoo shops. After tattoo instructions were clearly communicated and given. The shop is also well located, albeit I do not know how easy it would be to find without good apps. My tattoo artist Igor was good. Thanks a ton for your work! Ultimately my tattoo is what I wanted, where I wanted, and I think at a decent price. I found Igor direct, which may be a bit different in terms of service than other places in North and South America. But his communication was clear and he was attentive. Ultimately, Black House Tattoo is a fine place to get a tattoo. I think their pre-appointment work could improve especially if I send content beforehand. But Igor was a great artist and did a great job. I prefer to make my payments on a credit card, but that is not the preferred payment method of the shop. Cash is king here, which is fine. I do think it should be communicated a bit more quickly, as I had missed that until I was already booking an appointment. read more

I cannot express how happy I was with my time with Filip at Block Tattoo. The best experience I've ever had at a tattoo shop. Filip was polite, professional, on time, and is extremely talented. I traveled from the US for our appointment and didn't have any issues booking the appointment, paying a down payment, etc. I had a design that he helped me with and he made it much, MUCH better. This place from the get go was fabulous. They responded quickly to their messenger. The location took a minute to find, but once I realized it was tucked away in the courtyard it was smooth sailing. We walked in after being greeted and sat down to make an appointment. They we're able to accommodate us same day, so we left for lunch and came back a few hours later. It gave us time to come up with some ideas of what we wanted. Ms Nika came up with something amazing with the rough sketch I gave her of my idea. Oh HELL no! "Open 24 hours"=a locked door at 1pm....we took a seat outside and were laughing it off , when a delivery guy came up, after a couple of minutes the door opened. "You see? It's open" I rang the bell. A stylish young dude with extra tight slacks andwers. "Are you open for business " "What business" "Well...tattoo" "Of course" "Well, your door was locked". "But there's a bell" with the attitude that sign or no sign, i should know better. We had a brilliant time in Prague and considering tattoos to commemorate. The first shop anywhere in the world I've been in where are NO books with artists ' work, to get a sense of particular styles and strengths-as every tattoo web site has, including theirs--to formulate if he or she would do what you want. No, no, he said, we don't have books, they use google. Same snooty catch in his voice, he explains in feign patience that clients come in knowing what they want and how they want it, and then he negotiates a price. Had several tattos done over the years. Trust is at the heart of the experience, and putting someone at ease is the first step. This guy is staring at me with buggy blue eyes treating me like a dopey tourist, i cleared off in 45 seconds. Amazing experience. I can't recall the name of the tattoo artist I worked with but she was a woman with very long blonde hair. She did an excellent job- is very skilled at colored tattoos, design, watercolor, and very fine lines and details on smaller tattoos. Exceeded expectations. read more

I really liked this tattoo shop; I got my tattoo done by Pavel when I was in Prague for a weekend. They responded quickly through email and answered all my questions. The shop was clean and the staff was friendly. I was starting to get worried as I saw some reviews say that people felt unwelcomed, the shop overcharged and didn't work well with foreigners (on Google reviews).
