We made a list of 8 consignment shops that reportedly dealt in similar pieces at similar price points and then toured each shop. Surprisingly, many of the popular local spots were dirty, disorganized, and showed little discernment in the pieces they took, one shop was filled with junk from IKEA and Target! Then we found PS Consignment Gallery! Their space is actually designed and flowslike a proper furniture gallery, in a way that makes sense, and each item is well cared for. Not only was Raffi and Carlos quick to respond, professional, and super friendly, they made the entire process easy, being the ONLY shop that even offered some sort of service to pick up our pieces. In a matter of weeks, they got top dollar for our pieces, even to our surprise, retaining much of our investment, even after we paid their portion. We are back with our third lot of pieces and couldn't be happier to trust our consignments with them. In a sea of shops that will take anything for a profit, they actually care about the furniture and the experience, in our experience.

Reading a couple of bad reviews on this page and wonder what world are these people living in? If…read moreyou're shopping in a nice store (which is an understatement for A La MOD), you should be respectful of your surroundings. People who let their children run wild in a place that sells vintage (often times) restored to their original beauty, should not take offense to the store owner that takes pride in their business. Nor should you take offense if you THINK you might have something worth selling there, when it is clearly not appropriate. Consignors and people that want to sell their "parent's mid-century furniture" are often times not versed in the Mid-Century Design world. You cant fault the store owner for knowing what the right merchandise is for their store... MOVE ON. There are places to consign your familys "Heirlooms" but North Palm Canyon Drive is probably not the right place for that. Jimmy and Miguel are great to work with and they're both nice guys. It's too bad that people are quick to judge someone over them not wanting to purchase your stuff...Like Jack Nicholson said "You can't handle the truth" But then to go and write a bad review just shows your lack of dignity.

Miguel and Jimmy were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and made us comfortable with our purchase of a pair of FABULOUS mid century lamp. Not cheap but a fair price for these gems. I really liked that they had signs everywhere telling you about the different types, even down to the different shapes and their meanings/uses. They had so many things to look at that it was a little overwhelming, but we browsed around for quite a while.
