When we decided to downsize and move into a smaller home, it came time to part with some beloved designer pieces that weren't going to fit in our new home. We made a list of 8 consignment shops that reportedly dealt in similar pieces at similar price points and then toured each shop. Surprisingly, many of the popular local spots were dirty, disorganized, and showed little discernment in the pieces they took, one shop was filled with junk from IKEA and Target! Then we found PS Consignment Gallery! Their space is actually designed and flowslike a proper furniture gallery, in a way that makes sense, and each item is well cared for. Not only was Raffi and Carlos quick to respond, professional, and super friendly, they made the entire process easy, being the ONLY shop that even offered some sort of service to pick up our pieces. In a matter of weeks, they got top dollar for our pieces, even to our surprise, retaining much of our investment, even after we paid their portion. We are back with our third lot of pieces and couldn't be happier to trust our consignments with them. This is a fabulous consignment shop whether you're buying or selling... The merchandise is of excellent quality, gently used with good variety. Having consigned items here, I found the "split" was fair and payment prompt. The owners and managers are courteous, helpful and very efficient. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not huge, but new merchandise every time we got because of frequent turnover. We recently found a 1960's wrought iron patio set for $3,000 less than at another vintage store. That's right $3,000 I kept in my happy pocket. I went to Misty's this morning to try to find a outdoor dining table set and everything that I was looking at was thousands of dollars. Then came by Palm Springs consignments, and found a very similar table to what I was looking at for a third of the price. This is the place to go if you're looking for furniture. Well the selection is a good variety with many unique pieces, I will not be shopping here again. The prices have gone as high and crazy as the housing market. Out front was a pair of vintage aluminum lounge chairs with rollers on one end for easy moving. I have picked these up a couple of times on the street for free in better condition than this pair. The pair was listed at almost $300. I really can't believe the insane prices of this store. I have picked up pieces here before but not for the current outrageous prices. read more
