He's cleaned and wiped off grease and gunk left by other garages, wiped off his greasy handprints (lol because he knows that's a pet peeve of mine on my white jeep) and been there when no one else would work on my car. Sundays? No problem! After business hours? No problem! Scheduling me during a holiday weekend so I can save my vacation days? No problem! If you're taking your business elsewhere, you're simply nuts. And worst of all? You're throwing good money away. My rear main seal requires him to drop my transmission! That's a huge job! Elsewhere it would've cost me just that job alone over $5k! On a jeep? Definitely! You won't find a more honest, down-to-earth, kind-hearted, hard working mechanic anywhere around with such a flexible schedule. Flexibility in other shops are limited but the owner's reluctance to pay their mechanics for working hours outside of their business hours. Erik IS THE BUSINESS OWNER and THE MECHANIC, so he has the flexibility to work WHEN he wants! And often enough, he's kind enough to move those hours around to fit people like me in. When "done" I looked over my car and asked him to clean some areas in the trunk surround that were still grimy. I wish I'd looked closer before he left! I went to move my car and saw all kinds of leaves and debris in the front area down where the windshield wipers go! I had to blow that out with my leaf blower and wipe that area clean. Also, the driver side door was not treated with the shine treatment that the rest of the interior was. Lastly, our new paver driveway, walkway, and the gravel area where he cleaned the car now have some rust colored stuff splattered around that I have to figure out how to clean off. The car does look better than when he started, but for the cost, I don't think I got a very good deal. I think 3 stars is generous.

Finally, directly messaged an employee who said to come in and talk to him. I just went to the wash, washed the car, then spoke to the employee that was there. Explained what was happening. I was told they do not handle accounts there, that is handled at corporate. She wanted to know why I would want to access my account. WTH? She went on to explain that it is a small family-owned business, and the web site is not good. She suggested it was better to come talk to people there directly, who can (NOT) help you. Car wash is good but think they have it set up intentionally that you just get charged monthly and cannot cancel without it being an ordeal. The "small family-owned" shtick is exactly that, a shtick. You would think if they are all UF alumni as the Gainesville locations advertise, they would have at least one staff member capable of setting up a real website, not the BS they are passing off as account management.

I am reticent to drive into a random car wash without doing some due diligence. My son told me this was the best one in Gainesville, so this was where I went. The staff I encountered were extremely friendly. You drive through the car wash and when you're done, they have parking spots where you can park your car and vacuum inside. They have spray bottles for cleaning windows and seating surfaces along with microfiber towels. For $30, I felt it was a fantastic value.

One thing I really like about Caliber that they offer discounts periodically if you register your number with them. The past week the discount was $5 off all washes, so of course I decided to go with the Graphene which is the top tier wash. I do like the Graphene when my car is desperate need of TLC because it really makes the car have that brand new look. One thing I have an issue with at this car wash is that they never have enough cloth towels at the stations. I find myself wandering over to other stations to grab a cloth for cleaning my windows etc. Especially now since it's the spring clean season and time of the year where more people are on the road - I wish they would be more attentive to the stations. Even the cleansers were low yesterday which I did mention to someone and they seem to restock the stations later on. Overall, I do think it's in a great location and the wash prices are pretty reasonable for each tier.
