Dr Chalkin recently did a Carpel tunnel release and it fixed the numbness I was having. The surgery went well. The anesthesia that the anesthesiologist used though did not work and they had to give me more. That's the only complaint and it was fixed quickly. The wait in his office can be long he's got probably the whole state trying to get his help but it was worth the wait. They are in a beautiful new office at 61st and Lewis.

It was after 1pm. I had them refund my copay and I left. Dr Chalkin, I'm sure you are a great physician but what all physicians need to understand is that our time is just as important as yours. We have other things, appts, commitments., JOBS to accomplish during our day. You aren't the only busy one. If I had been 15 min late I would have been forced to reschedule and possibly charged for late cancellation so it doesn't mess up your schedule. Why is it any different for your patients? If you are going to be that late, you should have the courtesy of notifying the patients in the waiting room so we can choose to wait or reschedule if needed. As a former house supervisor for ascension st John and trauma nurse- I get emergencies happen but the reality is that doctors do this reg and just expect that their schedule is the only one that matters and that needs to change. Respecting and keeping on time appts isn't just the patients responsibility, it's the physicians as well. It you can't keep the scheduled appt on time or close to it- TALK TO YOUR PATIENTS. Them asking if they've been forgotton is ridiculous. Scheduling so many patients that the front desk is asking who will see the PT, the PA or doc is unprofessional at best, the fact that us patients overheard that is even worse. Stop over booking your schedule. For patients reading this- hold your physician accountable. If you walk out of that office and go somewhere else- he doesn't get paid and doctors tend to listen when it affects their checkbook. Remember you are hiring THEM not the other way around and you have other options. If they are this neglectful with your time what else is being neglected? Does he schedule his surgeries the same way? This chaotic?? Is that what and who you want working on you? Someone whose mind is in 10 other places except with you bc they've over extended themselves? That's a NO for me. Dr Chalkin, it may seem to you like "you just got busy" but you need to stop and consider what message you are sending when you can't be on time and don't respect your patient enough to even say, "hey, I'm running late" from the other reviews, I'm not the only patient you've lost bc of this.

After many years of running, it caught up with me, and a severe arthritic hip, made it impossible to even work properly. Dr Mittal replaced my LEFT HIP.....and within 2 weeks THAT IS UNHEARD OF... ( he would NOT ENDORSE THIS AND please don't expect THIS TIME FRAME routine) went back to work....but...than my right hip...started hurting slowly AS HE TOLD ME IT WOULD......as my left hip got better...to the point I needed a right hip replacement... Again, within 3 wks.. OF SURGERYI was walking without crutches..or cane...When I was going through the possibility of losing my insurance Dr Mittal worked to move my surgery up. ( normally he books 4 months in advance ) there is a lot more to this story...but bottom line....Dr Mittal is a Saint...EVERYONE on his STAFF go ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure your COMPLETELY taken care of..... It's one thing to think that a surgeon is a good surgeon because I don't have a complaint about…read morewhether or not Dr. Mittall is a good surgeon what I have a problem with is that after you have surgery, they don't want to give you pain medicine, even though they will say that you can have 2. 5mg pills every six hours as needed for Pain but then they will only give you 40 pain pills in a week which do the math that will not last a week then when you try to get them refilled, good luck getting them refilled they will just leave you without pain medicine for two days every week. They do the same thing every week and this week because I missed my follow up appointment (because they didn't bother to talk to me and I missed their phone call) and didn't know that they had set up an appointment without speaking to me now they told me I can't have pain medicine for 7 more days ...so I'm just supposed to go a week with NO pain medicine and they're like well sorry that's not our problem. I said well it's not my fault you can't see me. I tried to set up an appointment and you couldn't see me until the 26th and they said well that's OK. We'll see you on the 24th by the way today is the 17th and they had only given me medicine to last me to the 15th. I am 69 years old. I am not a drug addict and did not wait till I was 69 to have a knee replacement so I could get on drugs. so if you want to have your Pain managed after surgery good luck with Dr. Mittall's office.

Informed me they didn't have any appointments until May! Left untreated, I would most likely be permanently paralyzed by then. I asked her to atleast leave a message for the dr. She refused! Told they don't see patiebts on an emergency basis. Best she could do is put me on a cancelation list. I've dealt with this rare disease for 18 years. We moved to Oklahoma 2 years ago, and I've been fortunate to be stable. Saw Dr. Rosenhamer when I first moved here to get established. I have NEVER had a receptionist refuse to give a dr a nessage!!! Thank God for my pcp. She atleast called me in steroids for me. I will never deal with that ofgice ever again.

I came here to visit my Dad while he was in the ICU before he passed on Thanksgiving Day this year…read more Although my Dad had to be moved from being on a ventilator, being in the ICU, being in step down care, etc., I can't say enough good things about the staff that I interacted with at Hillcrest. From the time my Dad called me to tell me that he was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer to the day I saw him in the ICU was exactly one month to the day - and he was dead just a couple weeks later. The staff answered my questions without beating around the bush which I appreciated. While my siblings and I were very pragmatic about our Dad's prognosis, my Mom and my Dad's extended family weren't taking it so well. My mom was at the hospital 24/7, sleeping in a chair in my Dad's room to be by his side. The staff were incredibly gracious and kind to my Mom. They let all of the family filter in, pray, talk, etc., for as long as they wanted outside of shift change. While I was out of the country on the night of my Dad's passing, a few of my siblings were there and they let me know that the staff allowed more than 2 people at a time to go in and sit with my Dad's body for a few hours to grieve, which I know my family appreciated. The only drawback for my visit to Hillcrest was that the cafeteria was rough for gluten-free options as a celiac. I went an entire day on just a bag of Cheetos from the cafeteria while I sat in my Dad's room. If I needed to stay longer at the hospital, I would have had to order safe food from outside of the hospital. Overall, my interaction with security, nurses, interns and doctors was fantastic in such a stressful time that I didn't have much time to prepare for. Visited: November 2025
