Perfect little coffee! It was quiet & cozy, leaned into the 'blacksmith' & Swedish history of the town, and the coffee was wonderful. We ordered a cappuccino with vanilla, coffee roasted black, and a hot chocolate. All tasted wonderful, ambient, and rich in flavor! Staff were friendly! We also purchased a bag of coffee beans, which they ground for us! Sad we were just passing through, otherwise, I'd like to bring a good book & plant myself in this little shop for HOURS! What a cute place to hang out and grab a fun drink! When we went in, there were no seats left because people love this place so much!! I decided to try the strawberry italian soda and it did not disappoint. Adding cream makes it so good too! We also ordered a cherry limeade and it was super refreshing. The staff is friendly and gets the drinks out quickly. There is outdoor seating around one of the sides and the front. One of my favorite things about this place is their cups if you dine in. Having been here a few times over the course of the last few months, I thought I would leave a review for this awesome place. Nice location in the small town of Lindsborg. Service has always been good - and they have a variety of drinks to choose from. Their drinks can be a bit on the sweeter side. The last time I visited, I tried the Rosemary Cold Brew with honey cold foam. The foam certainly seemed a bit on the sweeter side. If you love coffee, I recommend stopping in. read more

I visited Blacksmith twice during the 24 hours or so that I was visiting Lindsborg. The first time, I got my standard: black coffee. The coffee is good but very strong, and would probably be more enjoyable for someone who takes milk and sugar in their coffee. And because it was calling out to me, I got a lemon bar. The lemon bar was huge -- about the size of my hand. The consistency was more like a lemon cake, though. They didn't have very many baked good options when I visited in the late afternoon, so I think if you want the best selection of sweets, visit early. The second time I visited, I got an herbal tea, and it was perfect. It was a lavender citrus something or other, and it was the perfect thing to drink on the chilly morning that I visited. There are lots of tables and some comfortable couches, as well as outdoor seating on the patio. read more

This is an excellent cup of coffee. I had the limited "Blacksmith" blend, and it's the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. The decor lives up to its name: it's industrial but still cozy, with Edison lighting, leather chairs and couches for lounging, as well as ample indoor and outdoor table seating and tabletops. Nice place with good atmosphere roasting their own coffee's, but a terrible sense of coffee understanding, akin to an amateur roaster, using a light roast for their espresso made a terribly bitter coffee. I asked the fellow there about it, and he told me "that's the way they like it and they do understand it's different but that's how they do it and have been doing it that way for about 10 years" I expressed my disappointment, and normally would've expected a refund or an offer of something else instead, but was unwilling to press the point. I didn't try their food I'm sure it's good, they seem like good people that want to put out a good product. But if you want a good cuppa espresso, go someplace else. read more

What a charming and sophisticated coffee shop for small town, Kansas! We stopped here while visiting my in laws and I was pretty blown away with the renovation of this establishment. It looks as if it could blend in in any major city around the world. I had an iced tea and it was great. My husband had an americano and I'm very happy to report that it tasted really great. I'd need to come back again and try more espresso beverages for a more robust review but I'd definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area! read more

Believe it or not I didn't start drinking coffee till I was 30 and I'm now 32. This place was one of the reasons I enjoy drinking coffee now. I really fell in love with the process of roasting and brewing quality coffee. The couple that opened the Blacksmith shop are really nice and the customer service is excellent. They are very knowledgeable and source some of the rarest coffees in the world! I've tried coffees from them that no one else in the country carries. Some of those are pricy but they also roast great every day coffees from around the world that run 11 bucks a pound and are far superior to anything I've ever had. They will even tell you the best methods of preparation and storage. The building is very old and is very nostalgic upon entering and of course the aromas are amazing! Try always have a current roast brewing for everyone to sample. The bags of green coffee beans are stacked on one side of the room awaiting there turn in the roaster. They also sell French presses, coffee storage containers and other coffee making setups. I always end up staying and talking for awhile when I go to pick up coffee but its a great atmosphere and I always feel welcome. They also have a full website with all of their coffee available for shipping. Just make sure and check the site or their Facebook for current hours. read more
