And upon entering, we were met with a wall of good background restaurant noise: tinkle of cutlery on crockery, hearty laughter, waiters gliding back and forth, that kind of thing.
So, atmosphere really good. Food - it seems like they offer quite standard British restaurant fare, but with little Turkish (I think it's Turkish) twists, so, olives where you wouldn't expect to find them. I'm a sucker for mezze, and these were really decent. I've advise you to get the hot AND cold to start things off, makes for an interesting beginning to the meal.
Not loads of vegetarian option. Given that family were paying, I plumped for the Imam Bayildi (which I believe means the Imam weapt) and it's that good. Really tasty stuff. The rest of them had meat, which they thoroughly enjoyed... I suppose if you advertise yourself as a grill, you hope to grill meat well.
Yeah, it's Cicilia's nothing too fancy, not a lot of pretention, and that's good. It does what it what it looks it will from the outside, you can't knock it.
Well made, well presented South East European cuisine in a sympathetic friendly warm surrounding. Done
