Yes, men need pampering too! What man doesn't like to get spoiled every now and then?  My Dad got the works. I'm talking a hair cut, a hot towel and shave, and he even indulged in a facial. We know we will have to wait, especially on the weekends, but it doesn't matter because I know my Dad will be in good hands plus I'm spending quality time with my old man. The prices are very reasonable, customer service is superb, and when in Miami Lakes, why not? They are worth it!

I selected Raquel as my barber since other reviewers raved about her skills and sure enough -- the hype is well deserved! She greeted me immediately upon walking in as she was finishing up with another client so I sat and soaked up the clean, sparkly-looking barber shop. I was offered a drink while a waited which was cool. On to the actual service, Raquel was super on point, asking and actively listening to what I was looking for (a Royal Shave). She was incredibly thorough and took her time prepping the work area using a number of tools to clean and moisturize while trimming down the hair to get it ready for the straight razor shave. The hot towels and steam treatment for my face were soothing and definitely made a big difference with me since my facial hair grows thick, leading to painful shaves if not done properly. But again, Raquel came through in spades with the cleanest, smoothest shave I've had well, probably ever. It seriously was that good! The post-shave treatment of moisturizers and good-for-your-skin products left me feeling daisy fresh and the clincher? The cold towel was epic -- that's a pleasant first. Raquel helped my shaved head by cleaning that up with her shavers to complete the look. I was grateful and beyond happy with the services I received. Raquel is AWESOME and I will be booking my next appt soon with her.

Johnatan was my first barber at FadeShop a month ago, and was able to style me nicely with just "cut my hair short but not looking like I'm in the Army." He even gave me a full shave. This past Saturday was my second visit and I went for a full fade. I didn't catch the other barber's name but my hair looks clean and well presented. The salon is well lit, and modern looking. There are a few TV's around, plus the classic barbershop talk vibe - politics, sports, etc, etc. Some self-care products are also on sale.

HML House of Fades is a great barbershop! I have had my haircut done with several of the barbers…read moreand they all have done a great job. I have been going here the past few years after my last barbershop got too expensive. A clean-up will cost you about $15, with a normal haircut is $20, $25 for cut and beard, so the prices are definitely fair. The shop itself is on the smaller side, you don't always like waiting in the seating area so close to barbers dusting hair off clients. The good thing is you never have to wait long, if at all when you make an appointment, which is highly recommended even if they do take walk-ins. The only downside to this shop is that they do not take credit card, and for me, someone that doesn't like carrying cash, it can be a little annoying at times having to make a stop at the bank first. Overall, the barbershop is great with really good barbers, and I would recommend it to anyone for any style of hair you might be looking for!
