There is also a mailbox inside and one drive up mailbox in the parking lot. There is also a passport office in the post office. You can make an appointment online or at the main counter. I think they also have walk up hours (no appointment) for passport office. Packing materials a plenty, gift cards, greeting cards also available here!

I like older buildings, I believe there is something charming(?)/ beautiful about them. However, this is too much for me. Sometimes I feel thigh in some section, and the strong orange tiles in the washrooms (both on top and lower floor) are TOO AGGRESSIVE for me I prefer something more cool (white-gray-light brown kind of color) - same for elevator. Plus the meeting room on the second floor lacks air - it is often exhaled / not fresh as windows are completely closed and there is no A/C. It does not need to be bigger, just updated. Thank you

Could this building be any more awkward? Whose bright idea was it to house the library in the same building as the Surrey RCMP detachment? Whoever you are, please stay away from urban planning and egad! construction. One is hard-pressed to think of a more inappropriate coupling or a less accessible design. This library is not only poorly signed at street level - I dare you to find the entrance! - there are quite a number of stairs to climb to get to it. There is an elevator, yes, but good luck finding it at street level. Good luck finding the parking lot, too, the first time. The hostility doesn't end there, either. This is a library with no quiet space! Absolutely none! At 4 p.m., the tables and chairs are all occupied by Asian students talking away at one another without inhibition. Unfortunately, our own quiet Ocean Park branch, did not have a copy of the reference book needed so there was no choice but to persevere. Happily, in view of the prevailing noise levels, which continued unabated, I was able to persuade the librarian to permit me to borrow the damn thing overnight. Hint: STRONGLY suggest moving popular reference texts from this branch to libraries that actually have reference sections and/or quiet reading rooms. Semiahmoo branch felt more like a high school library reserved exclusively for Asian teenagers, who are not restricted in any way from talking with one another. Have librarians simply given up? Like Vancouver libraries, Surrey's are also all wildly overstaffed. So many highly-paid librarians, so few books, movies and CDs. What do they all do all day, one wonders? Why not direct resources instead at the installation of desperately needed washrooms in city parks and along popular pedestrian walkways like more civilized communities? Ultimately the city should consider a more appropriate, more accessible, more attractive location for such an obviously popular resource. In the meantime, PLEASE place signs to ensure patrons have a quiet place to read. Wall off a room students can book if they need to talk. The default position at a library must be for quiet.

I just want the police to know what happened to me..I've had a hard time getting help for this…read moresituation. On 11/24/20 I was deported from Canada Back to the USA. Canadian officials turned me over to CBP in Blain Washington. For reasons unknown a CBP officer removed all my clothes and proceeded to re dress me minus the warm clothing.(long underwear, long and short sleeve shirts and removed the sox on my feet before putting my shoes back on) as I was being released, a CBP agent told me to "try and stay warm" as he sent me out the door on foot to walk 5 miles to a hotel in freezing temperatures. Severe hypothermia set in fast as I walked past snow drifts wearing just a sweater..sweat pants and no socks on my feet. I ended up having to call 911 for assistance. I have been trying to obtain an attorney since this incident but it seems my phone is hacked..making it extremely hard to keep in touch with anyone, might I add that this happened in the middle of the COVID Pandemic.(I was probably the only person crossing the closed border at this time) which makes me think that the military would have seen this incident. I am currently still trying to obtain legal counsel on this matter. I wonder how other people are treated by CBP.

Beautiful scenic since it right next to the water and many beautiful sculptures plus park too (this is on the entering to the US side). Plus there is a duty free shop on the Canadian side.
