I had a large amalgam filling changed out on April 1st and am pleased and relieved to report that he is the gentlest dentist that I've ever had. It took barely an hour to replace the filling and the entire procedure was painless. He was calm as he worked which helped me calm down, and his assistant was a Pro with the suction tube. Not once did I have to gargle and gasp to bring attention to rising "water levels". So now I have a fabulous new white tooth where the dull grey one was and I'm no longer self-conscious about smiling. Change is good, but not too much at one time so I love the fact that Dr. Seminara kept Dr. Dobby's old crew. Yay!

Young, professional, fun, competent and honest McGill graduate. Takes children too and uses the RAMQ cover if no private insurance. Lets parents inside with their child during entire appointment. Very honest, explains every procedure in detail, takes photos and applies newest dental medicine. Has wonderful approach to young patients, makes jokes and accommodates the patient according to need (my son required being warned prior to the local anesthesia and all his needs were met, no surprises, I suggest -discuss a sign for pain prior to beginning). Perfect job on 5 very complex cavities in only 2 appointments! , preventive space maintainer in place too. I thought that not having nitrous oxide (laughing gas) would be a reason for my child to request another clinic. He does not even want to hear about it. His words were " I like Dr Kennedy and am keeping him as my dentist for life, for me and my future children". Big thank you, Dr Kennedy!

Finally, he did and the result, Both grafts were failed entirely after spending a painful week. Yes, both were failed:( I had to take my son back again to see two periodontists, who were surprised with dr. Berbari's wrong process and too much self-confidence. First, I blame myself for choosing a wrong dentist. and then, ask dr Berbari. as a general dentist to stop working on the gums issues. Dr. Berbari, You are not a periodontist, having too much self-confidence will remain an inverse result. Gum graft process definitely needs a specialist's high knowledge. Having experience in teeth extraction or brace process are enough for you.

I decided to try this dental office out of convenience (I go to this mall often). According to the…read moredentist, I needed thousands of dollars of dental work. This was all of the sudden. Then I figured out the game. He has some expensive dental camera equipment that give you an close-up view of your teeth which you watch on the screen. He uses the camera to show you supposed cracks, bacteria, and other "non-sense" in your teeth. He uses that as evidence to help him make the case that you need tons of dental work. It was all just a show for me (and probably for others). They try to "wow" you with this "fancy" technology so you take expensive services that you don't need. When I hesitated at paying something like $3,000 for dental services that I didn't think I needed, he went for the fear factor. He kept insisting that I should be feeling tons of pain but when I said I didn't feel pain, he said I was lucky and that I'd start to feel pain soon. He then said that if I went on vacation and something happened to my teeth such as after biting on a nut, then my teeth would have major problems and I'd regret not having done the dental work. The office manager is extremely pushy and slick salesperson. When I was done with the dentist, she started pushing me to book an appointment. I said I wasn't sure about making an appointment and I was looked at like I was crazy. This was all to make me feel bad and book the appointment. I decided to book the appointment at the time but shortly after, I changed my mind so I emailed them to cancel. I would have called but did not want to speak to the office manager and deal with her attitude. (Don't you think it's bad enough that I don't want to call just to avoid the stress of dealing with the person answering the phone?!) I sent the email to the email address that is written in their email newsletter. They claimed they never got it (yeah, right). So a few weeks later the pushy office manager called to confirm my appointment and I said I wanted to cancel it even though they claimed to have not received my email. She got even more pushy! She started asking me why I would jeopardize the health of my teeth and possibly feel pain, blah blah blah. Ridiculous. In my case, this dental office bordered on being a scam. They tried to impress me with close-up photos of my teeth and apparently true stories about what was about to happen to my teeth without further attention in the very near future. It's all just an upsell for expensive procedures that you might not need. I'd guess that they've convinced many unsuspecting patients to do expensive procedures they didn't really need at the time. Just to be sure, I went to another dentist after this one and he disagreed with this assessment. He said my teeth were fine and did not find cracks, bacteria, or anything else wrong with them. Also, the dentist I had prior to this one agreed that my teeth weren't so bad as to need these expensive procedures. To this day, my teeth feel perfectly fine. To be sure, the dental hygienist was friendly and did a good job. The office is clean and generally professional. The dentist himself was nice enough. It's just the scam-type of behaviour in this office that I do not approve of. If I only went to this dental office, I could never trust the dentist to tell me what was wrong, if anything, with my teeth.

I had been thinking about invisalign for like 5 years prior to this visit. When you first arrival, you have your consult with Michelle, She takes some pictures and talks you through the treatment. Then she introduces you to Dr.Korne and he answers any questions you might have. Let me tell you, I cried a lot during this process and it was literally just us talking. Michelle was super nice and reassuring. She was just such a ray of sunshine, that it was exactly what I needed to go through with getting this done. She answered every call and email with so much love and patience. You come back a few weeks later and they show you options of what they'd like to do for your teeth. It's actually really cool, they give you this log in and you can check the progress and what your teeth will look like. He gave me three options, which I really liked. One that was easier for me, someone with a lot of trauma concerning dentist. One that I wouldn't like but he really thought I would get the nicest smile with that option.. and a middle option. He gave me three because he wanted to do what I felt comfortable with. I ended up doing his option after much crying. (it was very much so worth it) Dr. Korne is nice and exceptionally talented. He would make an effort of dealing with my anxiety and tried to make me feel better, which was very sweet of him because I could tell he didn't understand where I was coming from. I appreciate his effort so much. :) Anna, takes a moulding on your mouth to really get the processes started. She's a bit rougher then I'd like and not as understanding, But she is very talented, patient and has a kindness to her. His assistant Jenny is my favourite! She's so kind and high energy. She was very sweet with the understanding of my anxiety and quickly understood how to work with me to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. She made the experience at this clinic wonderful. This orthodontist is pretty expensive, But absolutely worth it. They offer payment plans as well and really work with you to make sure you can afford it. I never once felt like they were out to get my money. I love how Dr.Korne provides matching outfits for his staff. The two lovely ladies at the reception are always matching and it just makes me happy. They are so bubbly, sweet and just gentle individuals. I love walking into his office. All the technicians have matching outfits as well, it's just great! The office is bright and very clean. They don't offer parking however it's in an area of Westmount, That i've never had an issue finding parking. If you're petrified of the dentist/orthodontist, this is the office for you. I've never once felt stupid for crying because I was scared.. and I started this process when I was thirty.
