STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING SCAMMED…read more loads of problems with this place. first off, my fiance ordered her dream dress in ivory 6 months before a required fitting and the contract was signed and she was assured they had it in the color she wanted. 3 weeks before, they called and told her they can't make it in ivory and she should come in to discuss other color options. ok...breach of contract already. (simple i know but it gets worse) once there, she is informed that they are supposidly going out of business that weekend and all dresses and orders would be shipped to some other location where the lady wouldnt even fully disclose. so with this informaiton, it seems rather interesting that they are still measuring girls and taking orders. after time and consideration, my fiance decides to screw them and ask for a refund at which the lady says she cannot give any refunds without the owner being there and to check back later. at that point, the nervous employee completely threw the owner under the bus saying that he seems fishy and other brides in the past got wrong orders, didn't get anything at all and didn't get their money back. she advises my fiance to make a scandal if she can't get her money back, contact news, turko files etc. lucky for her, i work at a local news station so that was threat enough to make a scandal a credible idea. an hour or so later, the owner contacts my fiance and says that hell have her money in half an hour, once there, he couldn't even look her in the eye. to make sure the check wouldn't bounce, she went to his bank and even the teller told my fiance that shes been seing a ton of refund checks from other brides and also heard plenty of horror stories. (not to also mention that through another bridal shop discovered that this guys ties with a new york supplier had been cut yet he was still taking in orders and money for dresses from that company) long story short, stay the heck away from this place and this owner.

Saw 3 shops and were disappointed with selections and prices, but we were unable to see Mario's Boutique that day. We ended up going to LA next day to see all the dress shops in the LA downtown area and I was not impressed of how the dresses are sold without price tags upfront, but realized buying a legit quince dress is gonna cost $$$$. We went home frustrated, defeated with the whole dress search and the cost of everything. On Monday, I decided to see just go back to Mario's to view the Quinceanera dress selections just to see if there was anything worthwhile before I took my daughter. When I came in, Mario acknowledged me, but he was on the phone so I perused the dresses on my own, which was fine. I was super impressed with the beautiful selections over any of the other shops I previously saw. I told him my price range and told him which ones I liked and I would bring my daughter back the next eve to try them on. His prices were competitive with others and fair, but I felt he had more quality dresses. So we came back Tues eve, and my daughter tried on 3 dresses and she was in love with them all and Mario was really patient, yet hustle to fit all 3 dresses and did not charge us to try them like some shops do. It is a LOT of work to get these dresses on especially with the lacing on the back and the hoopskirt, but he did it all on his own, and also tried to tend to other customers as best he can. He said he would retrieve the dress we chose in smaller size from storage the next day. He even had the train modified to a big bowtie ready for us to pickup with the dress that same day even tho he originally told us it would take a week. My daughter was super happy, the dress fit perfect and the bowtie, and the tiara to top it off. We felt relieved since our event is less 3 months and can now check this off our list!!! The place is not big, but the selection is REALLY really nice, different colors, styles and sizing. I can see some customers may want the red carpet service, but we found Mario to be more than sufficient and very nice. Come during the weekdays and maybe you will beat the weekend crowds and get more attention, or make an appointment so you can at least have some dedicated time. Just keep in mind, not to be too high maintenance and demanding and realize beautiful Quince dresses will cost you! Give Mario's Boutique a try and you wont be disappointed. THANK YOU MARIO!!!!!!

Stitching work was messy, no fabric was actually cut, just *unevenly* folded over and sewed over the folds she made, which were very visible when the dress was worn. Zipper was somehow broken and the stitching that was holding it was coming undone. The dress also has a la Veneto bodice but it completely lost its shape. The dress did not complement my body at all anymore and somehow made a sleek dress look like a nightgown. Overall the stitching looked as if it was all made in a hurry, with no thought put into it. My dress has floating beadwork and I really want to stress the fact that they thought it was okay to fold over the fabric and sew over that, and call it a day. To my understanding, you're supposed to take out the old stitching, take the beads out by hand, cut/adjust the fabric, and then hand sew the beads back on. The seamstress did none of that. Not to mention she wanted us to come back another day, after delaying the pickup for 3 days already. She then said she would get it done that same afternoon so we could "go away already". It seems like they specialize more in quinceañeras, so I am not sure about the quality of work for those types of dresses, if that's what they specialize in then I hope other people have had a better experience than me. But I do not recommend this place specifically for wedding dress alterations, I had to pay way more to get my dress fixed.
