This was a kind of salted brioche muffin that came with the lamb. I ate it, but not sure it needed it.

Post theatre visit. A small well thought through menu done to high standard. Small restaurant with a big vibe. We really enjoyed our time here and will be returning for the cocktails and dessert if nothing else. *only downfall is that the road this is on, currently has works being done and ruins the outdoor seating views.

We came here with my sister in law and her boyfriend. Now that I think of it, maybe it was a bit too adventurous for them because I think they had a hard time deciding what to get, and realising that having to order MORE than 1 dish was difficult, plus they're picky. Oh well, we had fun anyway and I ordered a bunch of stuff for everyone to try. My absolutely favourite dish was the Heirloom tomato with melon. Sort of random I know, but the flavour combination was absolutely delicious. My husband and I only eat fish, but they really enjoyed the chicken thigh and croquet monsieur. Overall, the ambiance is wonderful and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed trying all the different things. The monkfish and crab dip were very good and had flavours that I wasn't expecting but I enjoyed. The cheese beignets are also yummy!

Eaten here once before, thought it was worth a return visit...its a fun idea, sort of french tapas type. Food is generally good, though smallish portions. Bit of a dozy waitress though. Apart from that...the photos say it all...Enjoy!

Blanchette in soho is a relatively new French bistro serving tapas and is one of the few restaurants in the area that accepts reservations! We did not book but arrived for an early dinner so were seated at the bar. The server recommended ordering 2-3 plates per person. Standout dishes were the crispy frogs legs and brillat saverin salad containing grilled peaches, cucumber flowers and poppy seeds. Prices were reasonable but slightly higher than Copita located opposite Blanchette, however the menu at Blanchette is more varied than Copita hence we chose Blanchette over Copita for dinner.

Amazing. Came with a friend for the pre theatre set and the value was more than there. 15 GBP for two courses and you can pick from multiple options from starters, mains, and dessert. Location is very close to many theatres in the area so it is perfect to head go a show before/after dinner. Sat at the bar and the bar staff was amazing. Floor staff chat a bit too much amongst each other but bar staff made up for it.

A trendy french tapas style mini bistro serving all manner of unpronounceable but all delicious wonderful cuisine. The menu is full of starters. Meat cuts, cheeses, bread, olives, pig ears. All are also reasonably priced. Being about £4 each. Mains are around £7-10. Bear in mind, whilst this is resonable pricing, the portions are all pretty small, this being a sharing concept. Which makes certain things strange, like why the tables are so small when you expect plenty of dishes to be ordered. It was very much a case of moving dishes around simply to allow new dishes to be able to fit on the table. We were on a 3 seater table. The 2 seater tables barely looked big enough to hold one dish! The baked cheese was my favourite, along with the delicious nutella, fererro rocher type dessert. Everything was delicious though, one plum dessert was a little overbaked meaning the base was hard and chewy, but that was an exception rather than the rule. So whilst the food doesn't disappoint, there were very few things wrong on this soft launch. The music was perfect, good volume for conversation and really helped us feel relaxed and in good company. The staff are particularly good. The owner spoke to everyone trying to ensure he got the most from the soft launch in terms of feedback. The staff were a credit. The food stellar. The only thing I'll add is that some of the starters could have been a little larger. Similar tapas places are indeed a little pricier, but those dishes can be around 33-40% larger. Given the sharing concept, it was a little of a strech sharing dishes between 3 people, but one dish between 2 people is actually perfect, so perhaps we needed to order more! Delicious. The bar area was also pretty packed, I guess this is the new trendy place at the moment. It isn't hard to find either it's the place with no storefront yet :)

Came here for lunch while passing by Soho. Great, attentive service but the food was a little disappointing on that day as both dishes were rather bland and not too filling. The atmosphere is lovely and a nice quaint place so I'll give it another go next time I'm in London.

To be honest I just want to say this place is amazing amazing amazing! Had a few small dishes of fish, vegetables and meat and it was all outstanding! Stand out dishes for me were definitely the Salmon Taretare that tasted so fresh and had the right amount of dill. Another stand out is the baked scallops! With spinach, breadcrumbs and some lemon juice, it is so delicious and different from the usual pan seared scallops. Only thing that could be slightly improved was our chocolate dessert, but I'm still giving this 5 stars because I enjoyed everything else so much. Nice atmosphere and service too, definitely a good place to bring a date.

The tapas style is quite convenient when you have a romantic dinner (the place is a bit loud though) or a lot of friends as everyone can try a little bit of everything. Some dishes were to die for and some were quite bland. I guess it is a bit of a hit or miss.

Tuna tartare and green bean and compte salad

We tried the prix fixe lunch menu on a weekday having read numerous positive reviews. It didn't disappoint! The restaurant has a lovely cosy French ambience. We started with a green bean and compte salad which was fresh and vinegary and a tuna tartare dish with avocado, chilli and lime. The tuna was delicious and bursting with flavour. We both had the chicken as a main which was tasty but didn't blow me away, and shared a passion fruit vacherin (meringue) for dessert - extremely tasty. Would definitely return and hope to try the full menu in future.

Had some more plates, but forgot to take pics as always.

Popular tapas style French which suits for jetlagged stomach. Very friendly staff and beautiful foods. Strongly recommend to go. Must make a reservation.

I started with the Camembert Frit (Camembert cheese coated in breadcrumbs, fried, and served with redcurrant and raspberry coulis). This was delicious! The cheese paired so well with the raspberry coulis and it was no greasy at all (perfectly fried). For my main course, I got the Steak d'Agneau au Romarin Grilled lamb steak with red wine & rosemary sauce (served with sautéed potatoes). This was delicious as well! The lamb steak was so tender and flavorful and the sauce went so well with it. The potatoes also went very well with the lamb. I have also had their Filets de Cabillaud Rôti (baked cod fillets with sun-dried tomato and cream sauce), served with leek and potato mash. This was excellent! The cod was so fresh and the sauce was to-die-for! I could have licked all of the sauce off of my plate (if it were socially acceptable haha). The sauce was so fresh and paired so well with the fish. The potato mash was also fantastic--perfect texture. For dessert, I had a rhubarb tart. This was delicious! I loved how the tart wasn't too sweet and I could really taste the rhubarb. The service was also excellent. The servers and managers were very attentive and considerate of my husband's allergies. They were super accommodating, which is the reason we came back again! The have a great price for their prixe fixe menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! In a nut shell, great service, excellent food, fair prices and great ambience!

The Food: We did the Valentine's set menu, and a fair warning: it creeps up on you! Every course is delicious, but by the time dessert arrived, we were absolutely stuffed. Even if you aren't typically a seafood fan, give it a chance here. The dishes are incredibly approachable, well-balanced, and clearly had a lot of thought put into the flavors. The Vibe & Dress Code: The atmosphere is unmatched, but learn from our mistake! We spent the day exploring Covent Garden and didn't have time to head back and change. You definitely want to dress smart-professional to match the elegance of the restaurant. We felt a little underdressed for the level of experience they provide! Given how difficult it was to get a seat, I would have liked to have been seated in the main dining room with the more impressive array of decorations, but my tiny table tucked away in a corner near the entrance wasn't all bad; decorations were still plentiful, and I didn't feel in the way of passing traffic. With the food, you get what you pay for; which may not be as much as you might think given the "poshness" of the place. Without booze, you shouldn't end up paying more than £50pp. The menu has an array of seasonal favorites like Hertfordshire Beef with a red wine jus, roast chicken with leeks and girolle mushrooms, and seasbass with Autumn vegetables. Seasonal desserts are also available and the booze is seemingly never-ending. You can never go wrong with the chicken here, regardless of season, and with a seasoned sommelier always on-hand, rest assured all your wine pairing needs will be met. The beef and venison dishes are also superb, with both light and hearty sides to compliment them perfectly. Dessert can be a hit or miss. I didn't like my first experience here with the Delice, but my second experience was a delicious poached pear with a superb buckwheat ice cream and buckwheat-infused biscuit. I paired mine with the recommended Bordeaux wine to wash down the sweetness, and let me tell you, it was an extra £14 well spent. Overall, this isn't the type of place you visit every week, or even every month, but it's definitely worth planning months in advance to come during the hholiday season. Reservations are a MUST.
