The only reason I'm giving this shop two stars is because they do quality and quick oil changes. The pricing was decent and fair. Here's my issue, I took my 2006 Mercedes in for a diagnosis due to clunking behind my wheels. I called before hand asking if they are comfortable working on older European vehicles and was told that it would be no issue at all. They told me all four wheel bearing were going bad and to replace them all, I trusted them for their word and went for it. Set me back about a grand give or take. It took them about 2-3 months to get me my vehicle back and wouldn't give me a reason as to why it was taking so long. They finally finish and when I get my car back my ABS light was on my dash now and it definitely wasn't on before I brought it in. Now meaning I have no power steering or traction control. I didn't mind it for the time being and told myself I'd bring it back for them to fix my dash light. About a week later the same noises start happening again so I take it back and they tell me the wheel bearings are bad again and they will replace them for free but then they tell me my tie rods are also bad so I have to pay for the tie rods which set me back another few hundred give or take. Fast forward about a year my car was having my issues in the same spots (behind my wheels). I was having terrible road noise on right bends and clunking on my front right passenger side wheel. I take my car to a shop in Princeton which specializes in European vehicles and he tells me that my power steering rack was in terrible shape as well as my coupler due to me having no power steering and having to drive my car. So I replaced those and all was well but I still had road noise so I took it back and come to find out my wheel bearings were bad AGAIN. The new shop finished installing new wheel bearings and spindles on front wheels. The tech showed me the parts that were on my car and bland street cut notches in my wheel bearings to fit them into my car due to them being the wrong wheel bearings. Pretty much rigged something up so they would fit. I was told this was a dangerous situation because the wheel bearings could have locked my brakes up or worse have a wheel fall off and cause an accident. Long story short I wouldn't go here, they pretty much put my life at risk just to quicken the job up. read more

Our SUV has a lot of mileage and was in need of a lot of work. We made the decision to bring it all the way from Charlotte to Bluefield because we knew that John and his team would give us a great price and would take special care of our vehicle. Had a motor replaced got my truck back heater didn't work so I took back told them they look at it I asked what was the issues stated to me had flush the engine out I paid 1600 for think they do this for they release the truck come find out my four wheel drive also wasn't working but was when the truck blew motor and got towed there beware they are very un honest and will lie to get your money please beware read more

My car stalled on I-77 due to a failed alternator near Bluefield WV (350 miles from home). A call to AAA got a tow truck on the way and I had no idea about the shop I was being taken to. They diagnosed the problem quickly, gave me an estimate and a ride to a motel. the next morning the parts arrived and the car was ready 30 minutes before expected. My boyfriend and I had a major engine issue while on a road trip and we were taken here. They're AAA recommended, their staff was immensely helpful and kind (they helped take care of our dog, since she was stranded with us!), and their service was incredibly fast. We broke down on the side of hwy 77. Between their tow truck driver and the owner of the auto shop we were able to get to Bluefield and they also drove us to a hotel. The car was fixed as soon as possible and they even brought the car to us. Wish I lived closer so this could be our full time mechanic. They are fantastic. read more

Beware! This place was recommended to us from someone at the college my son attends. So we trusted the information and called this company to have the car repaired. We were told the car needed a new engine and repairs would cost a little over $3K we agreed to have it fixed in WV, instead of having the car towed back to our home in MD. The car was at the shop from December 2018 until January 21, 2019. We called once every two weeks to check on the status of the car and each time was given a different reason as to why the car was not ready. January 19th, we called and was told the car was finally ready. We drove back to WV from our home in MD to pick up the car and was planning on making a few stops in VA. We were headed to Salem, VA and the car began leaking fluids. We called Bland Street Auto and was told to take it to a shop in Salem, VA and they would come and tow the vehicle back to their shop and would let us know when it was ready. We called every week from January 21st until February 12th and was told the car was finally ready. We picked up the car on February 18th and began to head back to MD. However, as we started driving, the car began leaking fluid again. Called the shop and was told to bring the car back and while waiting around for a few hours was told the issue was fixed. We headed back to MD and now the car is gushing fluids, we called Bland Street Auto and was told by the person on the phone to take it to a shop in Laurel, MD. Once we made it to the shop, we called and the owner of Bland Street Auto gets on the phone and tells us they are not responsible for the damages of the vehicle. We now have the car in MD at the place in which we were told to bring the car and now waiting on the diagnosis of the issue of the car. Bland Street Auto Shop is a straight rip-off and really need to stand behind their work or if they don't know what they are doing, say that. We are really disappointed in how this was handled and out over $3k. Disappointing! Disheartening! read more

My Audi A3 broke down while visiting a remote area of southern West Virginia on a Sunday afternoon last month. AAA arranged a tow and dropped the car at Bland Street Auto Center in Bluefield. We rented a car and proceeded to a convention about 30 miles away. I was concerned that repairing an Audi in a area with no dealers would take weeks. The next morning I received a call from the very polite manager who informed me I would require a new air conditioning compressor and a tension pulley. He could have the parts that afternoon and deliver the car the following morning. What a relief. The repair while expensive (what Audi repair is cheep) but not our of line...and I had it the next day. My Audi dealer would take 3 to 4 days. Great work.... read more

I have purchased tires for 4 vehicles from them. I asked about road hazard warranty and was told it was covered. Took a flat in today, and they refused to honor it. Said it was additional purchase of 8 bucks per tire. Also charged 5.11 for a valve stem for 1 tire. These guys seemed honorable, but are starting to rip you off, and do not honor their commitments. Will do business elsewhere. read more
