They showed my son so much love and was so patient and supportive of me, understanding the feelings new parents have leaving their children for the first time. Our son is now two and loves his daycare family. He comes home talking about playing with his friends and the activities daily. I can not express enough how reasuring it is to be in constant communication with your caregivers. This team truly goes above and beyond to support the whole child and their families. I would 100% bring any child to them with confidence that they will be safe, nurtured, and in a child friendly learning environment.

Ruth was recommended to me by a friend .Ruth has been my son's care taker since he was a baby . Ruth has help reinforce what we have been teaching at home with saying his name, colors numbers , potty training. Ruth cares for children and has given me great tips and things that I should work on at home. Ruth has been an amazing blessing to my family, very easy to communicate with and Very flexible with time . There was times when I was stuck at work , Ruth would tell me not to worry it's ok we see you when you arrive . I would arrive and Ruth would say he's ready for bed I have feed him dinner . It takes numerous calls and emails to yield one response. They expect you to respond rapidly (which most parents will do naturally out of concern for their child) yet they fail to move with the same urgency when a parent reaches out to them. I understand the staff may have their hands full but shouldn't there be a receptionist, secretary, or a program coordinator, who responds to calls and emails in a timely manner? It shouldn't take over two business days to receive a reply. That alone raises concerns in my opinion. With everything going on in the world today no parent wants to deal with a daycare that neglects to follow through on their commitments. There is much more I can say but I'll leave it at that. I would give my child's teacher a 5 star. She was the only reason I kept my child at this center. She cared for her students as if they were her own. 2. The curriculum was excellent, and my child's teacher was very creative with their learning lessons. Cons: 1. There is a lack of communication from the Owner/Director of this center. My child was there for a reasonable amount of time, and she never made an effort to meet with parents. All her communication is done via email or the daycare app. 2. As a paying parent, there was no regards to the stability of my child. On numerous occasions my child's class was transferred from one location to the next without ample notice or without any feedback from the parents. There was also an attempt to change my child to another classroom. Again, no disregard for my child's stability. 3. The hours of this center may not work for working parents. When I enrolled my child, the contract said that their hours were 7:30-6pm. After I signed up, I was notified that the center closed at 4:30 P.M "due to covid". I was also notified a couple of months later that the center's does not open their doors until 8:00AM; Which was inconvenient for myself because those hours do not concede with normal daycare hours. 4. Do not expect to participate in any daycare functions with your child. Parents are not allowed to be participate in birthday parties. In addition, there was no end of the year step-up ceremony for my child's class. As a parent I feel like that was a moment that was denied to my child and his classmates deliberately by the management of this place. There were not many reviews on The Caring Tree when I enrolled my child. The bottom line is that matters are handled unethically and unprofessionally and do not coincide with how a childcare business should operate. I hope this is helpful to other parents.

I understand first hand how terrifying it can be to place your child in the care of a stranger but you should know that once you meet Rosa and her staff you will begin to feel at ease. This daycare is a second home to the children and Rosa is mom when we are at work. I will recommend anytime.

At a very practical level, the hours are great and work very well with our work schedules. The teachers are very approachable and have been open to working with me with any concern I have had about my child. I love the Nurtury's focus on building independence and practical life skills- I see my son learning to do things on his own like feeding himself and cleaning up after himself. They have added new and fun things like spirit weeks, celebrating traditions from different cultures and religions and music jams. The communication has been excellent since there has been a new director. We are kept up to date with changes and how these changes are being addressed. In addition, weekly and monthly newsletters are sent out.

Here is a parent's perspective -- we left the city to raise our daughter in a strong school district and a safe community. I would pay triple for what we are getting at PCC. The program is play based which means learning is fun! The main components of my child's day are: job assignments e.g. feeding a pet, being line leader, turning of the lights to teach responsibility, then they have free play before breakfast. After breakfast they have a morning reading and discussion as a group. Parents are welcome to join and read to the kids during morning meeting. There are a high ratio of teachers to kids per class. Average class size is 6. There is also a Science, Art, and Music curriculum from outside instructors. The kids also do arts and crafts for holidays and seasons. The kids are prepared for Kindergarten at age 3 and age 4 - they learn to spell, letter sounds, letter recognition, numbers, arthmetic. Most of all the kids are taught how to socialize, resolve conflict, and taught about how we are different but all the same as well. My kid has never had an unhappy day, literally and asks about school on weekends. after nap time, in the afternoon the kids are taken on walks to the town sites e.g. Firehouse or supermarket for a planned cookie baking, or hit the playground as 2, 3, and 4 year olds should. This is a great program and a true value. It is also the only full day program in town. I do not expect the teachers to be anything but normal human beings dedicated to caring for the kids. They also hold parent teacher conferences annually to discuss the child's progress by age. At the end of the year they have a ceremony to celebrate movement to the next year.

Healthy meals are provided and there is a beautiful, large backyard with a basketball court and plenty of room for the little ones to drive cars.
