I went to Seymore, Texas for a meeting and had to wait a little bit so I decided that I would find a restaurant. I ended up going to the restaurant named, Blessings. I had an amazing lunch. The two ladies that were there, Joe and Vicky were absolutely Wonderful. We stopped for lunch on a roadtrip after reading the rave reviews and were not disappointed. The building was a little difficult to find, being that it's just a house in a neighborhood next to the school, but once we did, we were greeted warmly. We had the Italian melt and chicken melt with pasta salad and sweet tea. Let me tell you, the homemade bread that their sandwiches are served on is to die for! Both the server and the cook came to check on us and ensured everything was to our liking. Highly recommend! Do keep in mind that they do not accept credit cards: cash, Venmo, or checks only. So far, so good! Small place, but friendly staff and good food. I've only been once, but it was a good first impression. They have daily specials, yesterday was Chicken Spaghetti. Stopped by for lunch while on our cross-country drive. Cute little eating room with parking out front. We had the Italian Sandwich (homemade bread) and Jo's Chicken Salad which was served on top of a very good mixed salad, and some homemade garlic bread. For any out of Towners within a 60 mile radius it is worth the trip to detour to Seymour for this hidden gem. Food and service was excellent everything is homemade even the bread and rolls!
