Please read before you decide to use this company's services…read more On May 14th, I received an estimate for black/out shades with two side channels that were supposed to keep the daylight out of my room "completely" as per Juan (the owner). He was helpful, punctual, and attentive to the types of shades I wanted. After the deposit, everything about his professional service changed. The curtains did arrive promptly in the timeframe that Juan had given, however, Juan was not the person to install the shades, instead two very unprofessional "installers" arrived at the house. I could tell from the moment we met that they were not professionals. The shades were hung incorrectly, scrunched up, and did not look finished. When I asked the installer about it, he blamed my house for being "old" and as a result, I would have to accept it. The shades looked uneven. He tried to make them better by using scissors to cut the shade, He thought this would make the scrunching of the shades better. Watching him do this in real time completely shocked me, and I was at a loss for words. He did a terrible job adjusting the shades and he gave up. He told me that Juan would be the one to have to return to fix the issue. He caulked the sides where the channels met the wall and then, both men left. After a few hours of the caulk drying, I realized that the sun was filtering through all the cracks that he did not fill properly, and where the caulk had dried and shrunk all the sun would come through. I've been in contact with Juan since that same afternoon in May. He has promised a handful of times to pass by the house to re-caulk the shades. I have given up. He has not responded to any of my texts. I have called him and the few times he has answered, he sounds sincere and with purpose, when he tells me that he will stop by my house later to fix the issue. We are now at the end of July, and he has no plans to reach out and arrange the actual home visit. His excuse is that he is always too busy or too far and in his own words "he does not work on Saturday or Sundays" This means that he will not make time to try to visit the house on his "not so busy days" or even later on at the end of his day, in an attempt to remediate the problem. I paid him $611.00 for two Shades-Black out Sunset Light Gray Facia and Two Side Channels. If you want to see pictures of the disastrous curtains, please write and let me know. If you are looking for these types of shades, please do not believe Juan when he promises you that they will make your room dark. They won't, but by then he would have full payment for your useless curtains.
