The atmosphere is killer with great art, music, books and posters. The two barbers attitudes are great and they are very nice guys. The woman they recently added has a great attitude and style that I love. They have free Wifi which I used to write this review. We've been here many times and always the service is great. We come on Saturdays when it's walkin and the wait is 10-15 mins. This time we walked in and out in under 20 mins. There is street parking nearby and use the health food store to purchase and get cash back if you need to pay for a cut. Check it out you won't be disappointed with the old school games, music and decor.

On my last visit I got a balayage, toner, cut and style by the owner Malina who did such a phenomenal job on my hair that I can't stop staring at it 24/7. Just take a look at the photos I've attached for visual proof. The ladies at Gamme understand what it takes to make a salon experience fantastic - they take their time to get it right and make sure your hair stays healthy after the treatments so you stay looking fabulous between appointments. I can't say enough good things about this place... It is run but an ambitious, dedicated, inspiring lady boss (Malina) who has a hardcore loyal clientele (no wonder!) and is in my opinion a visionary and avant-garde leader for the Montreal hair scene. I have walked by this place hundreds of times since it's in my hood but never came in for a cut. When I asked it turned out a cut and style was only $44. Sophie, the lady who runs the place reminds me of your typical Québécois aunt, warm, a little lively and out there and who does her own thing. I came in, had a picture of the cut and style I wanted on my phone, showed it to her and she went to town. The salon is a bare-bones operation, nothing fancy at all and they are in the midst of renovations so don't expect a Beverly Hills Salon. They are also very Québécois, I don't think they speak English and there's a real blue-collar vibe here, the way Verdun used to be before gentrification hit. Still for what I paid I got a really decent cut and the people there aim to please.
